  Outstanding resort that provides excellent customer service! The resort has so many things to do and is full of so much history. Defiantly will be back!

  Oglebay has been charging my card $137 daily since we checked out. That was the nightly rate for the room, which we paid in advance on booking.com.

  Too expensive, if not for the conference I was attending, I could not afford to stay here. No complimentary breakfast and the pillows are too soft.

  staff very rude! Me and my sister were walking around at night not late at all a gentleman YELLED at me and my sister saying that we should not be walking around and that there was nothing to do this late it was 10pm pretty sure the pool closes at 11pm!! Staff doesn’t know anything my mother asked if the mansion was opened and no one could give her an answer coffee shop nasty!! Over priced 5$ dollars for a small lemonade is outrageous and They don’t even have French vanilla creamer? It’s 2026! This place needs a Map it is like a maze also not updated my remote was in Spanish! Smells odd. Only gave 1 blanket and 3 pillows it’s winter? Also the robes are not worth 100$ I would go to the Marshalls Down the road also very limited parking. I would recommend updating this resort. Oglebay more like OUTRAGEOUS not worth it won’t come back next time I come back to wheeling won’t be staying here!

  We had a wonderful 3 day stay but on the last night the resort seemed to attract local teenagers. About 15 came in from outside so I’m assuming they weren’t staying there I know the resort sells passes to use at the resort but if it’s for teenagers without parents that’s not good We couldn’t use the pool our last night due to too many in the pool 10 teenagers came in another group and took a table by the bar They brought their own games to play but then disturbed us listening to the singer that night When we went to go out that night another group of teenagers were sitting by the back door in the Byrd building There were obviously all kids not staying in the resort This was our 5th stay and love to just relax, teenagers are not relaxing to be around Security needs to be aware of this If your selling passes to them please let me know because we’ll find a new place to go to relax
