  Wast bad but really needs updated. Bed blankets remind me of a tux shirt. The rooms were not much different than any other hotel really. The restaurant needs a complete make over. I ordered a steak and the flavor was 100% fantastic but it was so tough that I couldn't cut it. But I loved it.

  I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. Nice amenities. Tub to soak in. Large TV. Breakfast is great! Life is grand. Highly recommend!

  My housekeeper Tina was very rude she proceeded to enter my room after I told her I was in there and not to come in !!!

  I have NO idea how in the world this hotel is getting the ratings it does!! We thought we would break up our travels home by staying in Charleston WV. So we read all the reviews, looked at the website, and unfortunately picked this overpriced IHG location. What can I say other than it's OLD, the room SMELLS, there are some type of chemical plants that SMELL TERRIBLE outside, the parking lot is DARK, and on top of all that, expect trains running through the night that are incredibly LOUD!! We paid $170 for this low budget, smelly, old, dirty room, and get this! We chose to pay EXTRA to include breakfast when we booked online, only to be told when checking in that kids over 11 aren't included??? What?? We will NEVER stay here again, nor would we recommend it!! Go to the Holiday Inn Express up the road!! We are long standing IHG Members, Holiday Inn Club Vacation Members, and THIS IS NOT THE STANDARD of hotels one would expect for $170 a night, be expected to pay EXTRA for your children over 11 to eat breakfast when you specifically paid extra for the room to include breakfast, and also read signs stating to expect construction noise!! Rediculous!! We are so incredibly disgusted. The photos on the website are 100% deceiving!! This is at BEST an $89/night room considering the location, age, cleanliness, and condition of this hotel. The directions initially took us to the Holiday Inn Express a few miles away, and it was clean, bright, and fresh!! To our surprise, we were told that we were at the wrong Holiday Inn, so unfortunately, that is how we ended up here... a DARK, DIRTY, STINKY part of town where we wouldn't even trust to leave our luggage on the carrier without worrying about it being taken! Had I known how bad this place was, I would have canceled this room, stayed at the Express, or driven an extra hour just to feel safe, breath clean air, and sleep comfortably! What a terrible ending to our vacation! **Edited to add: Staff are using the elevators for service runs intended for guests. All the photos you see online are all STYLIZED. The breakfast buffet is your standard "free breakfast bar" at ANY Holiday Inn Express, and they charge $13.99 a person for it if you don't choose "breakfast included" in your booking!! The security latch on our door DOESN'T LATCH, and it's a room for four with only three towels!! Guess they expect us to share!! Again, REDICULOUS!! I expect someone to reach out and address this!!

  We had a great experience here as a family of 4 with a baby and toddler. Very kid friendly hotel. We love the kids eat free offering at the restaurant and the excellent service we received from Mo at the front desk and Allan our waiter. Breakfast was incredible with a lot of variety and fresh food. The kids absolutely loved the pool and sprinklers. Checking in and out with the app sped things up a lot for us. Really no complaints here. Thanks for everything!
