friendly front desk person, but the area doesn’t look so nice. The hotel is by a train which some rooms can be loud. There was a humming noise in my room that was kind of hard to deal with the thermostat in the room was very loud and when I went up to my room to check into it, it was already kind of open cracked, which I guess it was due to the housekeeper, but nonetheless not a good way to start off a stay I probably wouldn’t come back some of the hotels clean some of it’s a little older. It’s just OK.

We wouldn’t stay at this hotel again, it was a disappointment as Holiday Inns used to have a standard. A waste of $220 and we will not be staying with Holiday Inns due to the experience. Check in was simple, we got breakfast tickets and our room was ready when we arrived. The lobby and elevators smelled of cigarette smoke. There was a casino room and a back door that was open.
We stayed in a Suite which was very large. The room was very old and something in the living area was just off. We felt somewhat ill when sitting in the room, maybe due to mold and lack of airflow. Every time we left we felt better and immediately felt poor when going in the room. The carpet is very old. While surfaces were clean and the sheets were fine we would have switched hotels if we stayed any longer than a quick one night stay.
We ate dinner at the onsite restaurant and it was overpriced and they were out of items.
The breakfast was standard and included in our room via breakfast tickets. Other guests got breakfast (a standard mediocre buffet) and there was some confusion as they didn’t have tickets. Breakfast is about $13 without them.
The staff were very nice. The parrot is no longer at the hotel. After falling asleep we did sleep good surprisingly. This hotel might be great for some but was a total let down for us.

I’ve stayed here twice a year over the last five years, and this hotel has gone downhill in the last year or so. My last room was not clean, there were gross stains on the curtains and dirt on the bedding. It was like a kid used the curtains for a napkin after eating pizza. The bathtub had hair in it from the previous stay, although it appeared to have been cleaned somewhat. There weren’t enough towels or toilet paper, there were four sheets left on the previous roll folded over lol. I was too tired to complain about it after driving all day, so I slept as much as I could and just got out ASAP. The fan on the AC wouldn’t stay on, so the hotel was somewhat noisy into the early morning hours, so it was an extremely unpleasant night.
The pet fee has increased to $40 a night, and they ended up holding over a $60 deposit for over three days, which I thought was extreme on top of higher room rates already. (I paid well over $200 for one night, with no included breakfast.)
This hotel appears to be cutting corners and raising rates, avoid it. I’ll certainly be staying elsewhere in the future. I left two stars because the check-in staff is very kind and the pool was nice.
