We have tried a few different hotels, with some good and some bad experiences. We finally tried this Holiday Inn Express, and this is where we'll be staying going forward! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well set up. The breakfast was great (I especially loved the automatic pancake machine), and the check-in process was quick. The hotel is close to the downtown area and I-64, but still far enough away that we didn't hear any outside noise. Looking forward to staying again on our next trip!

I asked if this hotel was”downtown”. Its not! Right off hwy on outskirts of downtown. Don’t go by what they “say” at reservations, they are overseas and lie! Lie! Lie!This was ridiculously expensive as, in mo way does it justify the price!
- HSHunter ShepherdDec 14, 20251.0Absolutely worst experience I have had staying in a hotel and I have stayed in many hotels last night I was gone to redneck brawl last night enjoying myself I come back after having an amazing night to find out hotel staff allowed someone into my room without my permission that was not on reservation when confronting hotel staff about it she proceeded to get mad at me for speaking up about the solution and yell at me saying she’s gonna refund my money that she’s able do whatever she wants I asked for a manger and she would not let me speak to one I will never ever be back at this hotel because that is unprofessional and wrong I had personal items in that hotel room

The location is right next to everything you need to visit in downtown Charleston. We had a issue Dec 6 with a previous hotel and they immediately took us in later that night with no hassle. Highly recommend this Hotel.
