  I am extremely disappointed with how my stay ended at Holiday Inn & Suites. After checking out, I received an email accusing my party of smoking marijuana in the room and being surprised by a charge of $250 smoking fee. In the same message, they also claimed it took four hours to clean the room due to this issue. The photos they provided as “evidence” were very surprising and confusing.(( All photos of evidence are posted)) One photo showed a small clear plastic bag near the sink, which was actually from a pair of earrings I had. The other photos showed a few small specks on a table and a pillow with pink stains. None of these photos show any smoking materials, ash, burn marks, or anything that would clearly indicate that someone had been smoking in the room. Neither I nor anyone in my party smokes, so receiving these accusations along with a $250 charge was both upsetting and frustrating. It was even more concerning to see these photos presented as justification for a claim that the room required four hours of cleaning. I completely understand that hotels need to enforce non-smoking policies, and I respect that. However, serious allegations and significant charges like this should be supported by clear and legitimate evidence. Based on the photos provided, it is difficult to understand how this conclusion was reached. Unfortunately, this situation left me feeling unfairly accused and very disappointed with how the matter was handled. I hope management at Holiday Inn reviews this situation carefully and considers resolving it appropriately, as experiences like this strongly influence whether guests choose to stay with the brand again.

  I stayed here on March 6, 2026, due to have truck issues and having to be towed to Beckley for a shop to do repairs. Come the next day, I found out that my truck would not be ready until possibly Tuesday or Wednesday. Knowing I couldn’t stay that long and no help really around to get back to Kentucky. I ran into Amber who is employed at the Holiday Inn and I believe still fairly new. Amber was absolutely amazing in helping me to find some sort of transportation. She took the time out of day to call around to places and just simply went above and beyond to make sure I was not stranded. Unfortunately I ended up with a U-Haul box truck to drive back but, without Amber I might not have gotten that far. She is definitely the definition of a team player, and someone who is more than willing to go above and beyond to help someone in need. For that I’m very thankful for Amber and the service she provided.

  One of the best I’ve ever been too! Very nice friendly helpful people. I thought Cedar Springs Michigan had a great breakfast until I got here. Amazing buffet and a pleasant lady named Bri helped us all morning!! If you’re near here and need a place…. Make it here. You won’t be sorry.

  Big clean rooms. My only complaint is the added surcharge to the bill. It wasn’t transparent when I reserved the room on line from their website. But I was charged $117.00 for well, I’m not sure. I stayed one night in a King suite. Ordered no room service or any other service. Pre paid and didn’t know of the added charge until the receipt was sent to my email. Not a fan of these hidden charges and won’t be staying here again. Too bad. It’s a nice place.

  This was a pleasant surprise. Excellent staff from Mita checking us in to the bartender and maintenance staff. All were welcoming and attentive. Very quiet location. The room is dated however rest of hotel is modern and comfortable. Breakfast was hot and filling.
