  I usually like staying at Holiday Inn Express locations, but this one really missed the mark. The room I was given felt pretty run down — lots of visible wear and tear with wall hooks and shelves ripped out, and a noticeable smoke smell lingering. The shower handle made adjusting the temperature frustratingly difficult, and the AC/heating unit was incredibly loud all night. Even the mini fridge seemed off balance, like it was missing pieces. Overall, the place just felt neglected and overdue for some maintenance and deep cleaning.

  I recently met someone who lives here, I am from Chicago. The drive isn’t too bad! We have been using this hotel since October 2025, I am been very pleased with all the staff and the welcoming they have for me. Recently they have been so grateful towards me. They already know who I am everytime I come here. The staff are amazing! Very kind and great to have conversations with! It was nice to know the manager was from Chicago too, got to talk to her about Chicago for a little. But overall I’m glad I choose this hotel here.

  So far it's 100x better than the other reviews. It's been redecorated. It's very clean. Carolyn greeted us in proper Wisconsin fashion. Very kindly. Being she knows we're moving here from Chicago, ya never know what anybody thinks about that. Ooooh, big city folks. Yeah, we sure were. Costs way too much, so off to Wisconsin we go. Yippee. The professional food service worker sets up an entire breakfast buffet and gets zero tips. There are cute pre-made chese omelets, bacon AND AN AUTOMATIC PANCAKE MAKER. It's so much cleaner than a pile of idiots trying to make waffles. Lol. The bathrooms need to be ripped out and redone. The toilet won't flush well unless you remove the lid and set it under the sink and just leave it off. We just closed on our new home. All going fine for day 2. There is an actual functioning mall with a dozen chain resaurants, an IMAX AMC Theater. Old fashioned politeness is how they are here. It feels like I'm on a new planet, or am in a backwards time machine, but, hey, stuff is so cheap here compared to Chicago, and we were scared we'd never be able to retire.

  Lunch lady rude… especially to kids
