- KMKate MartinNov 14, 20254.0There was confusion about a change we made ahead of time, it seems that the change was not communicated to staff so I had a couple of people knocking at the door, a couple of hours apart, thinking I was supposed to be checked out already. Rooms are very clean, and shout out to the staff member who takes care of the breakfast area. He does an excellent job, I have stayed here many times and each time he is there to keep things clean, tidy, and well stocked. I am disappointed, however, about avid's change to their their food offerings for breakfast, I preferred the grab and go options. Now they just have the stereotypical scrambled eggs, sausage, patties, and fried potatoes. The previous options really set them apart and were preferable. It seems to be a company-wide policy change because we stayed at an avid in Chicago and they had also changed their breakfast options. They're still advertising it as grab and go, but it would be difficult to transport the new items.... Overall though, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff was amazing, especially Nich at the front desk! He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. We were worried the kids would be bored without a pool but Nich made sure they had fun! At one point my daughter was upset because she got hurt and Nich offered to buy her a snack to make her feel better. Truly exceptional service! The location was very convenient and had some great restaurants nearby. We ate at Buck & Honeys and it was wonderful. Definitely recommend Avid Hotel.

Nick and Grace truly made this place feel like a home away from home. Their friendliness and genuine hospitality stood out from day one. They not only made sure I felt welcome, but they also helped me discover the best local spots to eat and explore, all while being mindful of my very limited free time. Thanks to their thoughtful recommendations, I got to really experience Wisconsin in the small pockets of downtime I had. They both went above and beyond, and by the time I left, they felt more like friends than hotel staff :) If you're staying in the area, I highly recommend this hotel, and if you're lucky enough to cross paths with Nick and Grace, you're in great hands! I gave a lower rating on the rooms because staying there for two weeks the rooms were way too small and didn't have closets or any other storage space. If you are staying a short time, it is perfect but if you are staying longer, you might need storage space and a larger room.
