A beautiful building that I think used to be the downtown Gimbles back on the day. Nice clean rooms with a small kitchenette. Comfortable and quiet. The parking sucks and the elevators are quirky.

The hotel was nice at first. Woke up this morning to find someone else's blood on my comforter and pillow. We checked in, went to dinner and a concert, and went to bed. So DISGUSTING. Notified them at checkout. Responses was.. ew. We need to look into that.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are so clean and artfully interesting! I definitely recommend this hotel. The only thing I would change is the smell in the lobby. It's overpowering with some sort of Glade and some people are extremely sensitive to that. I can't stay down there very long because I have severe allergies to overpowering perfumes. Please tone it down a little bit. 🙏😬Not everybody can handle that. Fernanda was amazing at the front desk.💗 She gave us a wonderful room on the 10th floor with a great view! She makes you feel very welcome and I would definitely stay here again based on the customer service alone!

We visited Milwaukee and decided to stay at Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel. Here's a list of what worked and what didn't Cons - We called for early check-in, but they said no rooms were available, which is fine. However, they were behind and couldn't even check us in at their normal check in time, which was rough. We had to wander around until they finally had a room available and it changed our plans for the rest of the night. We called and they said they would validate our parking in their garage, but when we arrived they wouldn't and we had to find (paid) parking elsewhere. - Bathroom door in the hotel room is barn door style and has 1 inch gaps on every side. As in, it hovers an inch away from the wall and isn't occlusive at all, close to no privacy. Also, no lock, not that it matters much at that point. I'm talking no stopping sounds, smells, and the rest of the hotel room gets terribly fogged up after showers (room windows didn't open) - During initial booking the in-house booking agent assured us they would provide distilled water for our CPAP machine. "Not a problem, we do this routinely", they said. But no water found when we went to our room, and, after we called the front desk, we were told that could not find any for us. This required a last minute trip to a grocery store, so all's well that ends well, I guess. (Shout out to Cermac) Saint Kates was not able to provide distilled water at any point during our stay -No coffee machines in the room, only near the elevators. Very inconvenient, especially as I like a cup first thing in the morning and had to wander out into a public area before I felt ready - Our room refrigerator wouldn't cool enough to be effective, and we had to throw away food we had stored in there before googling how to set to fridge to a safe temperature (no temp controls until you figure out how to unlock the user settings) - When I opened the curtains I found a tin of chewing tobacco on the floor (expired over a year ago), and found a bottle of vitamins next to the bed (also not ours), so I question how well the rooms are cleaned - The door to our hotel room doesn't block sound at all, I heard several conversations happening in the hallway when I was trying to sleep - Minor, but no extra blanket in room, no microwave in room - Internet is spotty, slow, and inconsistent. Had trouble getting pages to load on phone and ipad Pros - Beautiful lobby, art everywhere, cool vibes, fun surroundings - Artist in residence, we saw her working in her studio which was pretty neat to see - Ukulele and record player in the room, paper and colored pencils on the room desk (though they were dull with no sharpener), art books and vinyl records in our room which made it all more interesting than your average hotel room - artomatic near the lobby - Workout facility is very nice - Good view of river and goings on below, lots to see from the hotel room - Location is great, very walkable and near all kinds of attractions and event centers - Bed, curtains, towels, rug, wallpaper etc. well maintained and looking good, not shabby. No bed bugs found - Live music in the evening in the lobby - Effective blackout curtains - Glass of champagne upon check-in (trigger warning for anyone who abstains for whatever reason) Conclusion: The overall vibes are arty and cool, but at the expense of the actual experience of staying in the hotel. If you're all about ambiance and a visual feast , this place is for you. If you want a comfortable, easy stay, I'd go elsewhere. If we come back to Milwaukee we'll find another place to stay.

I recently had the opportunity to attend a four-day conference at the wonderful Saint Kate Arts Hotel, and I truly can’t say enough good things about my experience. From the moment you walk in, the hotel makes an impression. The space is absolutely stunning - artsy, vibrant, and eclectic in the best possible way. It feels thoughtfully designed and full of personality, which made the entire stay feel inspiring and unique. The service was exceptional throughout my visit. Nacho at the front desk was incredibly kind and welcoming during check-in, and he went above and beyond again on my third night when I needed help with a time-sensitive request. His willingness to help and positive attitude made a huge difference and did not go unnoticed. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and I really appreciated that housekeeping stopped by daily to tidy up the room. It’s one of those small touches that makes a stay feel extra cared for. I also have to mention the coffee, because it was that good. The coffee served both at the bar and at the restaurant on the second floor was delicious. We learned they use beans from a local roastery, and honestly, it was so good that there was no need to leave the hotel for a great cup of coffee. Another standout was Ruben at the downstairs bar. With so many of us attending the conference and constantly coming and going, he remained kind, professional, and incredibly patient while taking food and drink orders. His service was top-notch. Overall, the hospitality from the entire Saint Kate team was wonderful, especially while hosting the conference I attended. I would absolutely stay here again and look forward to returning in the future.
