  We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency in the Deer District while attending a basketball game. The location is excellent — very convenient and one of the biggest positives of this property. The hotel itself felt average to slightly above average overall, but unfortunately, several service and experience issues stood out. At check-in, we were told that complimentary breakfast would be available until 10:00 AM. Based on that, we arrived at approximately 8:45 AM expecting a normal breakfast experience. Instead, the entire area was essentially shut down — food was gone, coffee was cold, and staff were actively putting everything away. When I asked if items could be refilled — or if we could at least access any remaining food that was still available — I was told abruptly that breakfast “closes at 9,” which directly conflicted with what we were told at check-in. The interaction felt dismissive, and the door was shut on the conversation — both figuratively and literally, as access to the remaining food area was closed off. Shortly after, a manager asked if we had gotten breakfast. I explained the situation and that we were already moving on and preparing to check out. A few minutes later, we received a call saying breakfast had been restocked, along with an offer of 10,000 Hyatt points and complimentary coffee. While appreciated, it felt reactive rather than proactive, and by that point, the experience had already passed. Additionally, our room had a noticeable sewage-like odor. When this was mentioned to the front desk during checkout, I was offered to have engineering come up immediately, which didn’t make sense as we were already leaving. I asked that it be addressed after our departure. To add to the confusion, within minutes of that conversation, housekeeping knocked on our door asking if we were checking out, which felt premature and uncoordinated given we had not officially checked out yet. Overall, while the location is excellent, the experience felt disorganized and inconsistent. Communication between staff seemed misaligned, and service recovery efforts, although present, came too late to meaningfully improve the stay.

  I booked the hotel using Expedia. I searched for a hot tub and pool. This one has one Great! Checked then met a friend that lives in Milwaukee. Came back and my granddaughter and I wanted to find the pool before we changed into our suits because the hotel was busy with an event. We asked the front desk and they said that I was closed for months. It's on our website. Well it's not on Expedia! If I would have known that I would have booked a different hotel.

  Having extensive experience with Park n Fly service, especially with their shuttle service. The shuttles are very clean, equipped with air purifiers and hand sanitizers on board. Even the driver, Tyler, helped me clean my car, which was covered with snow. 5-star recommendation for this property.
