The rooms, hotel, and location are all beautiful. However, the parking is absurdly expensive, and the drivers who are supposed to drive you to places around the city, to alleviate the aforementioned absurd prices, are seldom available. Also, room service is liable not to come, even if you request it at the front desk. They will charge you an extra 50 bucks at the end and not tell you. It will just appear on your bill, which is even more absurd because housekeeping never came to my room during the entirety of my stay despite requesting it twice at the front desk.

This time was definitely different than our last experience. The spa day did not start well. The person at the front desk insisted that we give her our credit card to hold. No body does that she had our info on file. To hand over our cards for her to put in a box seemed ridiculous. My facial was just ok and the add on massage sucked. We spent well over 600.00 and the experience was mediocre at best.

How is one cup of tea (1 tea bag in hot water) >$9 before tip?? $6 is the cutoff for what I’d consider absurd, $9 is just extortion. Airport prices look like a steal in comparison. Fix your bar prices and perhaps I’ll invite friends back for a meal.

The room temperature was uncomfortably high; fortunately, we were able to ventilate the room by opening the windows. I ordered the sparkling wine for $68, which was unfortunately served in two glasses that were visibly soiled with lipstick stains. This is unacceptable, particularly given the occasion of a 25-year anniversary. No compensation or replacement glassware was offered. I have experienced superior accommodations and service at lower-priced hotels. While I generally enjoyed my stay, please be advised that there are additional daily charges for parking and various other fees.

Staff is very kind and professional and location is convenient and pretty (on the lake). Rooms are clean. Rates are high for what it is, comparable to other places in the area. There isn't a pool outside of the spa and spa prices are high for Madison, too. I booked erroneously under the wrong rate (totally my fault) but wasn't able to cancel as it was within 24-hours and they couldn't make any adjustments to figure out a half-way solution- so not super accomodating management.
