I was visiting while feeling unwell with the flu on the holidays and was hoping for a bit more understanding. When I asked if I could have some toast made if I supplied the bread, my request was turned down. I also requested a cover for my ice bucket, which seemed like a reasonable ask, and was told I could get one in the morning from the cleaning services. Furthermore, when I asked for extra garbage bags because I was using them due to my illness, I was only provided with one, and I had to ask for another. The staff member's demeanor was off-putting, with noticeable body language and tone that seemed unfriendly. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated incident, as I'd witnessed her being confrontational with other guests previously. Maybe some additional training would be beneficial, maybe some empathy training.

The rooms were clean, beds comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and staff were working hard to provide a delicious meal.

Pool was roped off with caution tape and I didn’t even make it to a room because something was off with this place and I cancelled my stay. I’ve stayed in many places alone and traveled solo as a woman all over the country and beyond - this place didn’t feel like a restful option. I booked it because it was affordable with good reviews.
