1 ⭐️ is too many for this place. I am honestly shocked by how we were treated at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa on February 21, 2026 at the Ski Lodge. A blonde security guard approached our family table during a birthday celebration and made a vague, insinuating confrontation in front of multiple guests — without explaining what had supposedly been done wrong. No clarification. No details. No professionalism. Just a public accusation with no context and then left.
Security is supposed to maintain peace and safety. This behavior did the exact opposite. It created discomfort, embarrassment, and confusion for our entire family of 12. After being loyal time share members of nearly 2 decades at Grand Geneva we are terminating our membership and will not return.
Extremely disappointed with the lack of communication with the Ski Lodge staff, specifically their blonde security guard who seems to be on more a power trip after being rejected from the local police force and doesn’t understand how to respectfully speak to paying customers of their establishment…

NEVER EVER AGAIN! 0 stars if i could. We were given a gift card to this place for our wedding as a gift. We thought we would try it for a weekend getaway for Valentine’s Day. From the second we walked in it was a disaster. When I booked the room, they would not take the gift card so I needed to give them my cc card . Which I was ok with because I understand they have to have a card to hold room and for incidentials. At least that’s what I thought. No …they charged my card for the whole room right up front. This was 2 months before us even setting foot in this place. At check in as soon as we said we had a gift card the tone changed. The front desk were completely unprofessional and rude. We felt like they thought we were not good enough to be at their overpriced resort. In reality we do have the money.
I made a reservation for dinner that night when I booked the room. but they canceled it because they wanted it prepaid for as well. So we asked to have a new reservation and they said they would need to again charge the cc . 230$ and it would be at 8:30pm Oh and I could not use the gift card to pay for the dinner, dinner can only be paid for with a credit or debit card!!!
This resort features spa and it markets to adults that it’s this relaxing getaway . This is the furthest from the truth. This resort is filled with well to do families with kids with no manners running free not being watched. Don’t bother thinking you’re going to try the sitting in the pool or hot tub. They were both filled with screaming splashing kids. The pool area was gross, wet towels everywhere on the wet floor, the water was cloudy in both and it smelled. We tried to go down to lobby bar for a drink and There were wet kids with wet towels everywhere, running up and down the hallways, hiding under the front desk, climbing the nice furniture and walls, not being watch at all. Are kids even suppose to be so close to a bar! I tried to sit down in a chair next to the bar and it was filled with food and sticky candy. We tried the buffet… 45$ each and everything was cold. I ordered off the menu and my dinner came before my drink . We saw kids throwing food, and breaking plates. I felt awful for the poor old guy that was busing the tables of where these kids were throwing food everywhere. He looked sad and like he was about to cry. It was a joke seeing these people out dressed up trying to enjoy Valentines Dsy with kids running around them screaming.
The bathrooms near the front desk were gross , no toilet paper and again all wet from kids from pool.
The only place you can go in this place to escape kids now running the halls in their Jammie’s is the Evolve bar. We spent the rest of our night in there. The two bartenders are really great. Drinks were very expensive but I just wanted to at this point drink away my awful experience.
Don’t bother trying to sleep either. All you hear is kids screaming outside and running down the hallway all night.
This is the only time that I didn’t sleep in at a hotel. We woke up early and couldn’t leave fast enough. I know this review is long but it was the truth.
THEY SHOULD HAVE JUST TAKEN DOWN THE BUNNY EARS AND REPLACED THEM WITH MOUSE EARS!!!
This hotel needs to have a kids only area or make changes in how they market to adults looking for a relaxing place to stay.
I understand that it’s got a ski resort but why can’t the kids be at the other location with the water park.
We made a reservation for 2 days through Booking, we paid the full fee to booking before leaving, the payment was deducted from our account. When we arrived at the hotel, 2 from us. They paid for the night again. Our adventure, which started a little bored, continued with troubles. Unfortunately, there was a very crowded insurance group in the hotel and we had to spend time in a very noisy lobby. Then we had to move to our room and spent the first day like this. We went down to breakfast in the morning and the breakfast was not bad. We ordered pancakes for the children and we couldn't eat the pancake that came, it tasted strangely fat. It tasted as if they had never been able to wash the pan they made. After breakfast, we went to the lobby and would a lobby be that boring! Neither a magazine, nor a newspaper, nor a game box... There is nothing in the lobby except a burning fireplace and an old piano! We went back to our room to put on our ski clothes and spent the rest of our day skiing. The tracks were not bad, the hotel bed was very comfortable. There is nothing I like in the hotel except employees, house keeping and bed. It's not worth the price you paid. I won't come again and I won't recommend it to anyone. It's a really boring hotel and it doesn't deserve the title of "RESORT" in any way. Ideal for +50-year-old people who have a private flight and want to play golf, who will come for peace. Young people should definitely not come .!!!

IT SEEMS LIKE THIS HOTEL TREATS GUESTS DIFFERENTLY BASED ON THEIR NATIONALITY!!!
We came for a ski trip and decided to stay in this hotel. The hotel itself is very beautiful, the rooms are clean, and there are no issues with parking. Unfortunately, the behavior of some staff members completely ruined our experience.
We checked in before noon, paid for our room, and went skiing. After skiing, we returned to the hotel to pick up our keys and go to our room. Since the hotel is very large, we got a little lost and asked a staff member for directions.
The employee (a woman around 50 years old — unfortunately I did not see her name tag) did not greet us at all. Instead, she immediately asked if we came to work at the hotel. I answered that we were guests staying at the hotel. After that, she asked where we were from, and then asked what we do for a living. The entire conversation felt like an interrogation. This was extremely rude and inappropriate, and it was the first time I have ever experienced something like this in a hotel.
As paying guests, we should not be questioned about our nationality or personal background. We came here to relax and enjoy our vacation, not to be judged or treated with suspicion.
The next day we went to the spa. Unfortunately, the experience there was also disappointing. My friend had a massage appointment, and I decided to use the sauna. The spa employee was rude and spoke to us in an unfriendly manner. I had to take care of everything myself because the staff did not provide basic items such as slippers or towels.
We came this time with a small group to explore the hotel and spa, and we were considering returning in the future with a larger group. However, after this experience, we do not want to come back or recommend this hotel to others.
If you are a tourist or from a different nationality(not local), I do not recommend staying here. You may not feel welcome, and it seems that guests are judged based on their nationality and even their skin color!!! Also don’t trust instagram photos!

Wanted to share a review about our recent stay at the Timber Ridge Lodge part of the resort. So we did have a few little issues with our room during the duration- but what made the experience five stars for me is the way that the staff responded to the issues we had. Not only did they respond with deep care and compassion, but they acted immediately in every situation. They even had an engineer come out at 10:30 PM when we notified them that our tub wasn’t working properly. Every hotel can have issues that pop up that are not the ‘norm’ for their typical day, but not every hotel responds in such a positive, kind, and immediate way the way this resort did- and for that, they deserve 5 stars and more! Will be a return guest any day.
Wanted to give an extra special thank you to the head hancho of hospitality, I cannot believe I forgot to write down his name, but he was absolutely so cool and helped out so much. I could tell he was so busy all weekend but the way he still made time to come help us personally was so above and beyond.
Also shout out to all the super awesome lifeguards that were so extra kind to all the kids! 🩷
Thank you for an amazing weekend!
