We considered this our go-to hotel for when we visited Green Bay for the last few years, but when we checked in, we found our room smelled like raw sewage (it made my fiance nauseous and made my throat hurt). Upon reporting this to the front desk and finding out at least one other guest was experiencing the same thing, the desk clerk said there was nothing she could do about it and that the hotel was full, but she'd call her manager. Allegedly the manager had told her that the smell was coming from the outside air from the river, but when I asked to speak to said manager, the desk clerk walked away from me. At no time was I offered a refund and options or recommendations to stay elsewhere or a discount if we would have stayed. It took getting corporate involved to get a refund and booked elsewhere. I hate to pitch a fit as I have worked in the service industry, but I am an Honors member and have family who ran hotels, so I expected much better, especially with the great experiences we had here in the past. Unfortunately, I do not think we will be returning after this.
