I called to confirm availability for my family and dog, and was reassured by Clark that a room would be held for us. He looked up my IHG number, greeted me by name upon arrival and got us checked in quickly, all while managing a busy front desk with many travelers getting out of the bad weather. He was even spotted that evening clearing snow! The entire staff was friendly and helpful, and fellow hotel guests were kind as well! Kudos to the hospitality from the Holiday Inn Express Deforest community - your staff and guests made for a welcoming and comfortable stay!

- RWRobin WardenOct 8, 20253.0It's ok, but dated compared to more modern Holiday Inn Expresses. The breakfast was disappointing. It's still a Holiday Inn, and better than most hotel chains, but this location is just ok. The breakfast suffers from bad fruit, yogurt on the edge of being bad, stale muffins, and a shortage of most things. I start early, and there's been like 2 bagels, 2 English muffins, and two pieces of bread. 4 muffins, one of which I tried, and regretted. Yes, renovations appear to be in progress. This location may get better. It's just below standards that I've come to expect currently.
