- CBChris BrownOct 8, 20253.0We booked 5 consecutive nights in this motel in Sunnyside. Our check in was very strange, as the self-professed "general manager" appeared confused and unable to read our reservation. But he gave us the room key to take upstairs and see if we liked the "view-side room" he had supposedly reserved for us. We walked upstairs, unlocked the door, opened it, and shocked the guest who was inside changing clothes! We told the manager about that, and he said, "O yeah, he's leaving tomorrow, sorry about that. But we can move you across the hall to that good view room tomorrow." Tomorrow rolls around and the new desk clerk said there's no way we get to move our room, and that we were given bad information the previous evening by their new GM. Not too big a deal but just laughingly incompetent. Our room we ended up with was clean and spacious and well appointed. It had a cheap TV that was hard to work, but there was a large fridge and microwave and nice shower. The buffet breakfast was exceptional, as was the exercise room. Unfortunately for our full 5-nights stay, the swimming pool and jacuzzi spa tub were both too cold to enjoy. But another positive was that our room was quiet most of the time, even over the weekend. We may return to this motel as it's the only good place to stay in Sunnyside, where my wife has relatives.
