I am sorry to inform everyone here that this was the worst hotel experience of them all. First off me and my wife Maxine mayfield stayed in the place and we quickly discovered that when we got to our room, there were disturbing paintings on the walls and there was weird bugs on the floor that look like they are from the future. And this is just the normal stuff, max my wife said that someone named “Henry” was entering her mind and soon after this, I looked in the back of our closet to find a trap door, I opened this up, crawled through a little crawl space, only to find a portal the the UPSIDE DOWN, then to soon after that find a literal DEMOGORGONS lurking around my porch door. It was starting to get outrageous when soon I started to see this guy named “Henry” and he showed me another portal to the UPSIDE DOWN. Someone needs to get this place checked out, maybe the government, or rather the employees at HAWKINS LAB. What happens here looked straight out of a movie, or maybe tv show, or maybe a specific show titled STRANGER THINGS. But I can tell you my from my experience, that there is no way STRANGER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED them my experience at this holiday inn

We checked in dropped our bags off and left when we came back and actually sat down the whole room was dirty there were pink stains on the walls and bedding which showed that the bedding was never cleaned.. while I was messaging to ask for money back to leave the kids fell asleep on the floor because the bed was gross and they gave us 10 minutes to pack up our belongings and all the kids and dogs we changed our mind because that wasn’t enough time to wake our kids, dogs and dogs all we need.. a he later we hear two knock on the door we were waking up so didn’t know what was going on THE LADY UNLOCKS THE DOOR AND LETS HERSELF IN!!!! And yells meets at the front desk wakes the kids. We did not we messaged Expedia to know again we could not leave the kids and because she scared us. We woke to find she left the door opened and unlocked all night. Would have been better off staying at home with floods and no power.

I sadly did not enjoy my stay. Actually pretty annoyed about it. I live 5 minutes away from the hotel and got a room due to work being done at my house and simply just needing a full night of rest. I picked Holiday Inn over Candlewood because the reviews looked very promising. I was awoken exactly at 5am to the alarm going off that was in the room. Mind you right when we got the room and walked in, we unplugged the clock due to the other outlets not even working next to the nightstand. You can't even stick a charger in the outlet because it's so messed up. Had to leave my phone in the corner to charge so wasn't able to even use that. Anyways alarm went off at 5am. I hit a button and it turned off just for it to keep going off every 5 minutes for the next 30 minutes. I eventually had to get up and walk it down to the front desk. When I went back to my room my room card was then not working so had to go back down and figure that out at 5:30am. Front desk lady said she would watch the cameras so if my room key didn’t work she would just come up. I probably wouldn’t say this to the guest. We are 2 young females and regardless being male or female being told someone will watch you on the camera is so so uncomfortable. I understand what they were just to do but just a heads up. Me and my cousin were not able to go back to sleep. She went down for breakfast at 7am just to come back to our room key not working again. Honestly biggest waste of money. The whole point of me getting a room there was wasted due to a stupid alarm clock that was unplugged going off. The front desk lady took $50 off but it's still pointless at this point. I will now have to go spend more money to stay at Candlewood so I can actually get sleep. That's pretty much the whole point of a hotel. Super annoyed. Front desk staff aren’t very friendly. When I first got there they had me which which before I said online it had me pay beforehand. They told me to check my bank account which I said it takes a day for some transactions to show up on my account. The lady responded with “that’s weird, i’ve never heard of that”. Ok then how about you call Capital One and ask them for yourself. Then once I was checking out, I just simply asked if the $50 was taken off that they said they would. She said “ya my manager told you she took it off”. I was just simply making sure no need for the attitude. I asked if I could get a receipt which she then said “yup we emailed you a copy of the receipt”. Which I had my emailed pulled up showing I didn’t. She then said “it would have got sent to the email you put down on file.. I can just print you a receipt then”. Which then after she said that I got the email. Could have just simply said you guys actually needed to still send it or it just got sent in that moment. I also see listed you offer “fabulous breakfast”. It wasn’t fabulous at all. It was your normal hotel breakfast with dry biscuits, eggs tasted like water I had to spit them out. I’ve never had to do that with eggs before.. I sent them a message about my stay and how disappointing it was but have yet to hear anything. Guessing I won’t since they already got the money.

Internet is terrible. It is impossible to stay at a hotel like this on a work trip with this bad wifi. Also staying 7 nights and still have to pay for water every day is not the kind of service I expect. I have had more than 1000 hotel nights past 10 years and certain things are a must these days. Improve!
