Mediocre quality hotel, Communication issues, Helpful staff. Decent hotel. Nothing to rave about but nothing to major to complain about. Reservation issues: When arriving to the hotel, the front desk revealed that there was an issue with my booking. I had originally booked a double queen room. However, they didn't have that room type available. And a single king did not work for my travel needs for this trip. I relayed to the front desk employee that this was unsuitable, and I was disappointed that nobody from the hotel made an effort to contact me before my stay. The very helpful front desk guy, Steven, owned the mistake on the part of the hotel and got me a complementary second room. Very grateful for his quick thinking and decision-making ability. Room quality: The room was suitable and clean from what I could tell. The room definitely needs improvement in its decorations. The ceilings are nice and high. The mini fridge is on the larger side, but has no freezer. A very small, but powerful microwave is provided. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was extremely small. One of the smallest bathrooms I've seen in a hotel. The bathroom door opens inward and blocks access to the shower. It feels tight like an airplane lavatory. The shower is one of the cheapest I've seen. On the plus side, it's a walk-in glass like shower. The glass is frosted (a very 2000’s design) however, the door is shorter than average and feels cheap. The shower head has three modes, none of them are desirable. Room Keys: I had multiple problems with the room keys. Ranging from the de-magnetization to my room door not not responding. Breakfast: Standard continental breakfast full of unhealthy options. The one exception is that they had “Oikos” yogurt, a semi healthy option. Hotel exterior: Little bit rougher on the outside. Felt a little bit industrial. Surveillance: This hotel had the most amount of surveillance that I have seen in the last five years. Cameras everywhere at every corner and turn. I wonder if they've had a couple fights or lawsuits. Summary: I wouldn't stay there again unless I had to. Nothing terrible but I'm very hotel picky

I've been staying at this IHG property since 2021. I stay frequently, visiting family and friends. 3 years ago, I would rate higher. Unfortunately, this property has slid in the past 5 years. I learned about the Greener Stay initiative from housekeeping personnel at this property. Now this property doesn't participate. Rooms are clean. But the fixtures are aging and failing. The shower heads are awful. They either spray the enclosure walls or pour like a poorly plumbed drinking fountain. Water pressure drops to 0 in shower. I know the charging ports are messed up, so I bring an adapter. Check in used to be super welcoming. Now I feel like I'm an inconvienence. There's a dirty, half-empty Brita for water in this lobby: I'd appreciate a clean Brita, if there were consistency with participation in Greener Stay. The thing is, other nearby IHG properties are super welcoming, participate in Greener Stay, are updating/replacing fixtures and have more reasonable rates. I generally get a survey after staying at IHG properties, not from this property for over a year. This visit, my sister was with me and wondered why I'd stay here. Too bad the decline, because the location is perfect for me. Thankfully there are other IHG properties nearby... like in the parking lot, lol!!

We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Sumner. The check-in staff greeted us warmly and set a great tone for the visit. We did have a bit of a struggle with our room key—the door lock wasn't cooperating—but the night staff went above and beyond to get it fixed for us. Once inside, the room was wonderful and very clean. We noticed the TV remote was missing, and when we mentioned it, the staff kindly moved us to a second room. Even though we ran into the same lock issue in the new room, the night crew was on top of it and resolved it immediately. A huge shoutout to the night staff for being so amazing and helpful! The only downside was the breakfast. It starts at 6:00 AM and has options, but the quality wasn't quite there. I’d recommend skipping the breakfast and grabbing a bite elsewhere, but the service and cleanliness of the hotel are definitely worth the stay.

I am sorry to inform everyone here that this was the worst hotel experience of them all. First off me and my wife Maxine mayfield stayed in the place and we quickly discovered that when we got to our room, there were disturbing paintings on the walls and there was weird bugs on the floor that look like they are from the future. And this is just the normal stuff, max my wife said that someone named “Henry” was entering her mind and soon after this, I looked in the back of our closet to find a trap door, I opened this up, crawled through a little crawl space, only to find a portal the the UPSIDE DOWN, then to soon after that find a literal DEMOGORGONS lurking around my porch door. It was starting to get outrageous when soon I started to see this guy named “Henry” and he showed me another portal to the UPSIDE DOWN. Someone needs to get this place checked out, maybe the government, or rather the employees at HAWKINS LAB. What happens here looked straight out of a movie, or maybe tv show, or maybe a specific show titled STRANGER THINGS. But I can tell you my from my experience, that there is no way STRANGER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED them my experience at this holiday inn
