Great staff, nice clean rooms. The only thing we didn't like was the heating units in the rooms, very noisy when they kick on.

Rooms are clean, the bed is okay, but the pillows are a little thin...

Seems to be recently updated. We were very impressed with the pool, gym, rooftop and the cleanliness of this hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back. Oh and also loved the coffee machine in the lobby!

Starting off positively - the room was very clean, recently remodeled (e.g., felt new), and every staff member I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Where this place completely fell down for me was value - I just spent $575 for two nights, in January (e.g., very low season). I can't figure out any reason the hotel is worth nearly $300/night. Rooms are fine, but the hotel is not in a location immediately convenient to anything. There is no view. There is zero sound insulation - I could literally hear my neighbor opening/closing their blinds and brewing coffee. The bathroom is poorly lit. The shower was warm, but not hot. The towels are tiny, rough and scratchy. The internet is almost impossible to log into without being forced to sign up for an IHG membership. Parking is not convenient to the main entrance or elevator. Breakfast was about as expected, but had cold eggs and every table was dirty both mornings (there was one worker doing their very best to keep up, but it wasn't enough for the crowd). Amenities, the pool and roof deck, were literally unusable due to the volume of people - this is in mid-January. I can't think of a single reason to pay 3x as much as the other local hotels for this experience... Lastly, not entirely the fault of the hotel, but my stay was miserable from start to finish as the hotel was overflowing with kids. I'd fully expect a Holiday Inn Express to be family friendly, but this was excessive - there were dozens and dozens of kids running around the halls and screaming non-stop from the moment I checked in until after 10pm, and they started again before sunrise (this was very loud/evident given the lack of sound proofing). They largely seemed to know each other, so I'd guess large school groups? At breakfast this morning, I watched a kid tell her parents she got yelled at for intentionally stomping loudly outside of an old lady's door - the parents just laughed at this. Obviously Holiday Inn isn't responsible for poor parenting, but it feels like they must give schools some sort of group rate - I would not stay here unless you want to be charged high rates and feel like you're living in a strange version of the lord of the flies... The positive reviews truly puzzle me.
