I think it’s the best hotel in the Sequim/Port Townsend area. Very friendly & knowledgeable front desk staff when we checked in the evening of 10/31. The rooms are very clean and quiet. I would stay here again anytime and recommend to anyone for business or a family vacation.

We stayed here for my birthday trip last week. When we arrived I checked out the room and discovered it was very dirty, so we asked to be moved. We had to move twice - even after that every single room was dirty and I had to spend time cleaning it up. There was hair all over the sink, shower, toilet, and floor including someone's pubic hair.
I reached out to management expecting I would receive some sort of reimbursement for how bad it was there - but received a message denying my claims although I had photo evidence.
"The hotel manager, Namaste Stayton, informed me that the hotel has undergone a remodel costing $4 million, and it is neither dirty nor filthy, contrary to your comments. He stands by his decision on this matter. I understand that you may feel upset about the hotel manager's response, but we cannot override his decision from our end. Please note that as IHG is not involved in the daily operations of this independently owned and franchised hotel."
Bad management and rude staff.
Breakfast was the only good thing. We won't be back.

We have come here annually for several years and this hotel has been our first choice to stay. They recently beautifully updated the entire hotel with new paint, furniture bedding and the like. Beautiful. But I can't give total 5 stars because the third floor wasn't improved with its own ice machine and how do you operate the television. No written instructions, and the TV itself said it was off line, no service. Just a bit disappointed.

Feedback for Future Guests:
I’d like to share a few observations to help future guests set the right expectations, as the overall experience at this IHG property differs from what one might typically expect at higher-standard hotels such as Marriott:
1. Housekeeping:
Bedsheets are not changed daily even when the room is marked as “serviced.” They are replaced only once every five days for long term stays unless you specifically request otherwise through the front desk.
2. Water Availability:
Complimentary water bottles are not provided in the rooms. Guests need to collect them from the front desk, and during times of limited supply, there may be a restriction of 2–3 bottles per room, even for multiple guests. There’s a Costco nearby where you can conveniently purchase a case of bottled water for around $4 to avoid running short.
3. Check-In Experience:
Early check-in is generally not accommodated, even by an hour. When we arrived slightly ahead of schedule, we were asked to wait in the lobby until their internet issue was resolved, and were informed that rooms would likely only be available at 4 p.m. The interaction with the manager came across as dismissive, which was disappointing given the more professional and welcoming approach I’ve typically experienced at Marriott properties.
Overall, this feedback is meant to help other travelers plan accordingly and arrive with clear expectations.
