  First time back since the transition to an Express and Suites. Great team. Lovely fresh clean room.

  Was a great value for the price! The location was ideal for quick walks to tourist activities and many great restaurants. I especially want to highlight the service of the front desk staff! All 3 ladies I worked with during my stay were pleasant, helpful, and very professional. The maintenance staff was also quick to help us out with a hot water issue in our room (due to property renovations), and our issue was fixed within a few hours! 10/10 would stay here again in the future.

  This whole building is under construction and of course nobody thought to mention this before checking us in. Whole building is super noisy all day, from 7am-6pm. I understand construction is going to be loud, but they should really warn people before they book a stay here. NO WATER IN MOST ROOMS AND IF THERE IS WATER, IT ISNT HOT. There were people showering in random rooms and then going back to their assigned rooms because they didn’t have water in their rooms. No ice machines anywhere because of construction. The door to our room wouldnt lock and they had to get maintenance to come and file down the door frame to get it to lock. Our thermostat wasn’t working and maintenance said “that’s just how it is, you can’t adjust the temperature”. Our entire stay here was so stressful and frustrating. Only one person at the front desk at a time and there was a line of like 7 people waiting to check in. Young man checking everyone in looked super stressed out. This place sucks, don’t stay here. Pay a little more and get a way better place where you can actually SLEEP PEACEFULLY AND HAVE HOT WATER AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT SOMEONE COMING INTO YOUR ROOM BECAUSE THE DOOR WONT EVEN LOCK CORRECTLY.

  The parking garage is a bit tricky to find, but it's a great location for wanting to walk around downtown Seattle. Easy walking distance to so very much, and now that they've made they changeover to Express from base Holiday Inn, you get even better amenities to boot!

  The good: large clean, modern room. The bad (from the email I sent management that I haven't gotten a response from): While I understand that property upgrades are necessary, the manner in which this remodel is being handled—by completely stripping the hotel of basic amenities without prior notice—is entirely unacceptable. My experience has been a series of significant inconveniences since I arrived late Monday night: Food & Beverage: After a late flight, I found that all vending machines had been removed. When I inquired about a sundry shop, I was directed to leave the property and go to the Fairfield Inn behind the hotel just to purchase a snack. Even getting a cup for my in room coffee was an ordeal; the front desk staff actually had to leave the building to fetch a cup from another hotel. Facilities: I was shocked to find no ice machines available, which was particularly distressing as I needed ice for an injury. Furthermore, the gym and business center are non-existent. Being told to "go around the corner" to a different hotel to use their facilities is not the level of service I paid for. Environment: On Tuesday, I spent over an hour listening to smoke alarms being tested or triggered. This made it impossible to work or rest. Lack of Transparency: Most frustratingly, there was no indication on your website or through the booking platform that the hotel was undergoing a remodel. Had I been properly notified of these "inconveniences," I would have booked elsewhere. I have attempted to resolve this in person, but I am told that management is "in a meeting." It is disappointing that I have to resort to email because no one is available to speak with a guest face-to-face.
