This hotel is just steps away from everything you need to have the traditional Seattle experience—Pike Place, Waterfront, Westlake Shopping Center, and much more. The rooftop bar/restaurant has a nice relaxing vibe with a great view of the Ferris wheel. Enjoy the hotel or just the bar, I’ll be back next time I’m in the city!

Nice hotel close to pike market. Was very clean. Sauna was nice! Pay attention to which room you select. Half of them face a parking garage with no view of the city

Not a safe place to stay. Hotel does not include parking. Nearby garage does not connect to the hotel. Homelessness does not make it safe to walk from the street into the hotel at night. Staff didn’t even ask when I commented that I don’t intend returning.

My stay here was nothing short of perfect. Location. About a block and a half away from Westlake Station (Light Link Rail). Walking distance from most attractions. Came here for the Seahawks vs. Rams game and the walk was only 25 minutes to Lumen field. Pike Place Market was only two blocks away. Room. I stayed in a King bed deluxe city view room. Room was spacious and had all the amenities I needed. Air conditioner / heater worked as expected. Shower was hot and had good pressure. Food. Made a reservation for the hotel's rooftop lounge, The Fog Room, for dinner and the food and service did not disappoint. Can't go wrong with their seared sesame Ahi tuna and some beer. I did not try their specialty cocktails. I also ordered room service on the day I was checking out. The chicken sandwich and fries were crispy and the Belgian waffle was fluffy. Service. All staff I interacted with were professional and polite. I want to give a shout-out to Livi who helped me multiple times and answered any questions I had. I would recommend this place to anyone and would not hesitated to stay here again when I visit downtown Seattle.

I recently stayed at The Charter Hotel in Seattle. Overall, the property itself is attractive, with nice and spacious rooms. The décor leans toward the darker side, which gives it a modern, moody feel. The staff did a good job, pleasant and professional, but at times carried an air of pretentiousness rather than warmth. One recurring issue during my stay was coffee service. On two mornings, coffee was not available until after 7:00 AM. On the first morning, The Fog Club wasn’t able to serve coffee until 7:20. That may not sound terrible, but it’s inconvenient if you have an early meeting or need to leave by 7:30. Staff even mentioned that the coffee system had been unreliable for some time. Another disappointment was the dining options. I had been told the restaurant and bar on the first floor were a highlight of the hotel, but upon arrival I learned they were no longer operating. The only option was The Fog Club on the 16th floor, which also handled room service. Unfortunately, The Fog Club was closed for a private event on my first night. Room service was available, and to their credit, the staff did provide a $25 food and beverage credit, which I appreciated. However, the Fog Club was closed again for lunch on the day of my checkout, which was an unexpected inconvenience since I had planned to remain at the hotel until leaving. One other thing to consider is the wind. I walked around the area often while here, and the hill where the hotel stands seems to be one of the windiest places in the city. Granted, there was a storm moving through, but each time I left the hotel or walked back to the entrance, it was a challenge. This is something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with senior adults or anyone who has issues with balance. In summary, The Charter Hotel is a nice property with spacious rooms and a stylish atmosphere, but the service and amenities did not meet the level I expect from a Hilton brand. Between the inconsistent coffee service, limited dining options, and the challenging location, my experience fell short. While I appreciated the staff’s efforts to make up for some of the inconveniences, I’m not certain I would return.
