What happened next is something I never expected from a professional establishment. As soon as we stepped outside the front door — leftovers in hand, my girlfriend beside me — the manager and a host followed us outside and confronted me in public, asking whether I had paid my bill. Their tone was direct and accusatory, and the implication was clear. I calmly walked back inside with them and asked Milla directly whether I had paid. She immediately confirmed yes, without hesitation. At that point, I requested the first names of the host and manager, and they refused to provide them. I was then told to leave the establishment for “creating a scene,” despite the fact that I was brought back inside by them, following their mistaken accusation. The issue here is not a misunderstanding — it is the complete lack of verification before publicly confronting a guest. The simplest, most professional act would have been to ask the server whether the table had paid. Instead, I was publicly treated as though I had attempted to leave without paying — in front of other diners, staff, and my partner — even though I had just settled a $600 bill. This experience was embarrassing, upsetting, and completely avoidable. I sincerely hope the management team will reflect on this incident and implement procedures that ensure guests are treated with dignity and respect.
