I stayed here for an extended stay of about a month. While several front-line staff members were excellent, my overall experience was defined by management interactions that ultimately made me feel unwelcome.
First, I want to recognize staff who genuinely provided good hospitality:
• David and Ben were excellent and helped move my belongings efficiently when I needed to change rooms.
• Michael in the dining area consistently made me feel welcome and taken care of.
• Alan at the front desk was kind, efficient, and allowed me to view multiple rooms before finalizing a move.
• Jennifer at the front desk was warm and thoughtful from check-in onward, personally delivering items to my room and following up to ensure I was comfortable.
• The evening front desk associate was also friendly and helpful.
These individuals did their jobs well.
Unfortunately, my interactions with the manager, Erika, are what led to this one-star rating.
When I transferred rooms due to excessive highway noise, I was explicitly offered the option to place my larger items in storage. I did not have time to move everything that day. When I later called to follow through on what had been offered, the response from Erika was unexpectedly negative. Rather than simply explaining a change in policy or availability, the tone felt dismissive and transactional, and prior accommodations were repeatedly framed as things the hotel “didn’t have to do.”
That reversal — being offered a solution and then spoken to harshly for trying to use it — made me feel uncomfortable and like I was asking for too much by requesting something I had already been told was available. This pattern carried over into other interactions (such as towel availability), and over time it created the sense that my presence was an inconvenience.
Additional issues during the stay:
• I had to change rooms due to excessive highway noise.
• One of the two elevators was out of service, which is a major issue when staying on the fourth floor for an extended period.
• The mini refrigerators (both the in-room unit and an additional one later provided) intermittently made loud mechanical noises.
• Communication around towel availability was inconsistent, including being required to exchange used towels just to receive clean ones.
• The pool shower delivered cold water when set to hot, and the pool water had a strong bleach smell.
• No visible recycling or composting options.
One small positive: despite the elevator issue, the stairwells are carpeted and heated, which made using them more tolerable.
While I truly appreciate several staff members, the way I was spoken to by management — particularly after being offered accommodations and then criticized for requesting them — made this an uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience. Because of that, I do not plan to return to this property, and I would choose a different hotel in the future.

The breakfast adds a tremendous amount of value to the price we pay to stay here. Yes, it cost 2.5 times more than the getto hotel down the street BUT you get 100 times the value....maybe more.
For one: interior hallways with doors that close all the way, extra locks AND working tv's.
Two: a staff that gives EXCELLENT customer service. I stayed 4 nights, so I met a good handful. Each and every one knew their stuff and didn't mess around. Sincere smiles on their faces. It really seems like they enjoy their jobs!!
Side note: 1 tv didn't work the first night. Desk clerk was up in minutes to try and figure it out, but we were both befuddled. I let him know it was ok to have it fixed the next day. Took off the next morning and when I returned later, it was FIXED!! Didn't even have to follow up.
Breakfast with taters or biscuits n gravy, eggs and bacon or sausage (selections vary per day) is really nice. Fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, a hands free toaster AND hands free pancake machine. Real butter, peanut butter and more! All you can drink juices in the morning and a 24 hour coffee machine with a selection of tees and hot cocoa! (The negative: the weird shelf stable creamer! You literally have a fridge a few feet away and could offer half n half. Especially since you provide the extra flavor enhancers and even honey)
The pool is decent sized, but I'd lay money that the deep end is slightly deeper than 5' lol. Very clean (hot tub too). Tons of fresh towels. A shower right there and restrooms down the hall.
The grounds are tidy, they have a small "store" where you can buy beer, a frozen dinner, candy, chips and even local art for a decent price!!
I've stayed in a good handful of hotels as a single female traveler. When you look at this price point for the level of amenities and happy employees, it's worth every penny!! I felt very safe the entire time and that alone is worth a million bucks xo
