  Over charged, rude service and shady room managment.I checked into s pet friendly room it was 1145 pm. To do that i had to go out to my car and book online-which was supposed to get me a discount but i didnt see it. I didnt care at this point to tired. Front dest little help😬 i had to sign a stack of papers for my dog to stay which the clerk summarized for me as i signed. Including the one on pet deposit. I payed a 100$ per deposit refundable to my card 7-10 days after check out. Fine ok. Then I always strip beds put comforters especially white ones, there was blood or something on the mattress coveri threw a blanket over it and slept on 2nd bed. Next day i caught the maids entering my room with a do not disturb sign while i was to be out. I came back to get my purse thank god. I let them walk threw under the 'guiese' of a sewer smell as they commented on many things aside from that which they were there i told them no smell in my room. We stayed another night when i left for my appt. I had forgotten some things. I called to get them after and was informed that they were assuredly thrown away. I was shocked since it was only 1130am. I questioned this procedure. I unhappily hung up. I received a call back later stating that they had my things. I went to pick them up and the staff was extreamly rude. Talking down to me with such attitude i was a little upset i had even left a 20$ tip for my room cleaning. Keep in mind check out was my only cleaning. No extra towels blankets etc. fast forward 10 days later i see they charged my depossit 88.08$ for what i ask? It was a pet deposit. My dog did no damage, no potty, no extra work for them. So why? Over all a very shitty experience .

  I can't speak to the quality of the room as I decided to cancel my reservation before ever seeing it, so I will assume it would've been fine and will give 3-stars by default. The customer service was non-existent and the reason for me to cancel my reservation the morning of, forfeiting the money for the room. I had called that morning to inquire about the possibility of early check-in, to which I was informed that checking in prior to even 30 minutes early would be difficult. This is completely understandable as I know that room turn-around can take time. This was fine. However, maybe an hour later, I walked in hoping to use the lobby restroom since my kids and I had nowhere else to go for about 4 more hours. I was told by the GM on duty that they didn't have a public restroom. And that was it. As if I was asking to use the restroom in a giftshop or something. There was absolutely no desire to help me figure out an alternative solution. Okay fine. No help there I guess. What was the last straw for me was when I asked if they could hold onto our bags until check-in. I generally think this to be a fairly standard request. To this the GM's response was, "well how big is it? Because we don't have a lot of space back here." And that was his complete response. Not an ounce of cordiality, and clearly, he wasn't feeling like helping me in any way. The worst part, though, was the indifference in his attitude. He seemed annoyed to have to answer any of these questions and certainly wasn't looking to offer any help. I haven't stayed at a Best Western in many years but based on this experience, this will be the last time I try. If you're traveling to the north side of Whidbey Island, I highly recommend the Swinomish Casino & Lodge. The rooms are actually cheaper than the Best Western in Oak Harbor and the staff were exceedingly accommodating (checked me in early on short notice and even offered to store my luggage for the short time I had to wait).

  We scheduled our stay through Booking.com. When we arrived we were informed that Booking.com cancelled the reservation a few days prior. The staff found us an available room, very comfortable and pleasant stay.
