- NRNancy RamadanApr 6, 20261.0If there is a negative scale, I wouldn’t hesitate to rate Best Western there. I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel during an emergency. On my way from Canada to the U.S., my car broke down and had to be towed, so I called the hotel to update my reservation location to Bellingham, where I was stranded. I was told that because the booking was made through Expedia, only Expedia could make the change. Expedia was actually very helpful and understanding, and they tried to contact the hotel on my behalf to explain the emergency. However, the hotel did not respond for about 20 minutes, even though they had just been on the phone a minute earlier. When I tried calling again, there was no answer. Eventually, they simply said, “We can’t do anything,” even after I explained the full situation. Their response was shocking, especially after I explained that my car was not working and that I was stranded in Bellingham. I was very disappointed by the lack of flexibility, communication, and compassion during a genuine emergency. I would not recommend this place to anyone who may need even a small change to their reservation in an urgent situation.
