  Multiple (3) GIGANTIC SPIDERS. If you are an arachnophobe stay away! There were 3 HUGE spiders in my room.

  Bed bugs! I tried staying here yesterday and found at least 3 bed bugs crawling on the bed. I immediately left and found a different hotel. I informed the front desk. I’m sharing this so future guests can be aware. Update: The hotel responded that a pest control inspection found no bed bugs. However, I personally observed multiple bugs crawling on the bed in real time, which is why I left immediately.

  Close to the town center and most lakewood businesses but extremely sketchy. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. I did not love the room or location at all however. Completely run down, hinges and lamps were broken. The carpet was literally sticky and gooey with flame retardant and left residue on me and my kids feet and hands we actually got sick. It was so sketchy I slept with a chair propt under the handle to make sure No one could get in, ive never felt the need to do that in any other hotel. It's also a motel and doors are outside, I did not expect that.

  First impression is a houseless person digging through their trash outside. Checkin was fine but the room smells like smoke and mold, is definitely not as nice as pictures. It’s more like someone took a hourly rate motel and landlord specialed it and slapped the best western name on it. Secondly the bed was NOT a queen size- we even went so far as to measure it for proof because I was told “you don’t know what you’re talking about” don’t even think about the motto of best western to try to make it right- I just left. Didn’t even take a suitcase in, checked right back out and went elsewhere! $40 less and 50x nicer at the Holiday Inn Express. Go there instead!!

  No one came to clean the rooms our entire stay(4 nights). No fresh towels or toiletries unless WE went to the office to ask. Our second room didn't have heat and we were told there was nothing they could do about it. Convenient location, mediocre experience.
