The “Deluxe” rooms in the pavilion are cozy and comfortable; however, the biggest drawback is the noise. The exposed beams are hollow and carry sound extremely well. You can clearly hear conversations from neighboring rooms, even when people are speaking quietly. We had a family with children next door, and unfortunately, getting a good night’s rest was nearly impossible. On the other side, we could hear the television and even minor noises. I did ask to switch rooms, but the property was sold out. The room also lacks adequate storage. There is no real closet, only a few short hooks near the door, which are insufficient for heavy winter jackets. There are additional hooks above the coffee maker counter, but their placement is impractical. The cubbies below the counter do not accommodate a standard carryon suitcase. The furniture and storage layout feels poorly designed for a ski area, and even in summer, it would be inconvenient for guests with hiking gear. The restaurant is average. Convenient if you want to stay on the property, but nothing exceptional. Front desk customer service could be improved. While the lobby offers a complimentary s’mores kit, the marshmallows provided were stale. Overall, the property is in a great location, dogs accepted for $50/night. Other fees are overpriced. The paper-thin walls make it unsuitable for light sleepers or anyone hoping for a truly restful night

I recently stayed at Outbound Stowe and walked away with mixed feelings. When we arrived, the receptionist greeted us warmly. We were about an hour early, and she was genuinely excited to let us know our room was already clean and available. That early check-in was hugely appreciated. The room itself was newly renovated, very clean, and stocked with fresh towels and coffee. The beds had clean linens, and our first night’s stay was great. We slept well and headed out early the next morning to ski. The challenges started when we returned to the hotel around 4 p.m. after being gone since 8 a.m. Our room hadn’t been cleaned yet. I went to the front desk, and once again the staff was incredibly pleasant and apologetic. Because we were already back in the room, I said we didn’t need full service—just fresh towels and coffee. An hour passed and nothing had been delivered, so I went back to the desk. The receptionist apologized again and personally brought what we needed. She was wonderful, but the delay was frustrating. That night, the guests above us were breaking in new ski boots around midnight, and the stomping continued long enough that I eventually called the front desk. Linda answered, and she handled it quickly. Unfortunately, the noise started again around 4:30 a.m., which wasn’t the hotel’s fault—just inconsiderate guests. The only other letdown was checkout. The staff member working at that time wasn’t as engaged as the others. No questions about how the stay was—just a quick key drop and goodbye. All that said, I would absolutely stay here again. The staff, overall, was kind, responsive, and sincere. But the housekeeping process really needs attention. Having to chase down basic items after a full day out was disappointing. If not for that, this would have been an easy five-star stay.

The room was very small. It was not cleaned at all. We stayed there for 3 days and they did not clean it well. The bedsheets were just left as is and not changed. No ventilation in the room

We stayed at Outbound Stowe for three nights in one of the cabins, and unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations. The cabin was advertised for four people, but everything inside — from the bed setup to the amenities — was only suitable for two. The sofa bed was tiny and uncomfortable, barely fitting two small children. The size of the cabin is probably as good as you take 10 steps. Its TINY!!!!! When we checked in, we asked for an extra comforter and blanket. No one showed up for hours. The front desk was managed by just one person doing her best to handle everything alone. When we finally received the bedding, it was used and clearly not cleaned. We had to walk back to the reception in the cold — which is quite a distance — to request replacements. Housekeeping was inconsistent and careless. They cleaned surfaces but never vacuumed. I had to personally chase the cleaners, not once but twice, to get basic cleaning done. Every day there was some miscommunication, and no one seemed accountable. To make matters worse, our “cabin with a view” faced what looked like a water dump area. When I raised this concern, the staff said they’d “see what they could do,” but nothing was ever done. For the price we paid, the experience was absolutely not worth it. The only positive thing I can say is that the location itself is beautiful — but that’s about it. I rarely write negative reviews, but this stay was full of frustration from the moment we checked in until we left. Outbound Stowe seriously needs to improve its service quality, cleanliness, and communication.

The Outbound Stowe was functional but pretty Spartan for the price. The bathroom was great, with two sinks. Beware, the walls are thin. We were woken up two nights in a row by a baby next door that sounded as if they were in our room.
