I can’t say enough wonderful things about the front desk team — Marissa, Stephen, and Lisa are truly exceptional! From the moment you walk in, they make you feel so welcome and taken care of. They are always friendly, professional, and genuinely happy to help with anything you need.
During my last stay, I mentioned I needed a noise maker, and Marissa kindly lent me a fan without hesitation. That small gesture meant so much and made my stay even more comfortable.
They consistently go above and beyond, and it’s one of the main reasons I love staying here. Thank you all for being so warm, helpful, and welcoming every single time!
Good location, standard rooms, typical American breakfast buffet, easy check-in checkout policy.
BW Employees Lisa Jajack & Merissa Holmberg made our stay so much more enjoyable. We had been thru a nightmare booking with Hotels.com @ Cortina Inn (no one should be permitted to stay @ that location ) .
Thanks again Lisa & Merissa we wont soon forget your kindness

We stayed here for a ski trip with our two children and overall had a fantastic experience. The value for the price is hard to beat.
The Room:
The room was excellent—very spacious and easily accommodated up to 6 people with two double beds and a pull-out sofa in the living room. Having a kitchen was a huge plus, though it was missing a few basics like salt, pepper, and a large baking tray for the oven. One thing to note is that housekeeping is only provided upon request, which felt a bit unusual but wasn't a major issue once we knew.
Location & Logistics:
The hotel is about a 20-minute drive from the ski resort. It’s not right on the slopes, but it’s a manageable distance. Pro tip: Make sure your car is well-equipped for snow, as the drive can be tricky if the weather turns.
Facilities & Food:
The breakfast was okay, though we didn't end up going most mornings. The only real downside was the lack of a pool, which was a bit disappointing for the kids after a long day of skiing.
Summary:
Despite the minor missing kitchen items and the lack of a pool, we give this a 9/10. The size of the room and the affordable price made it a perfect choice for our family. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family absolutely loves staying at the Best Western in Rutland every year. Every visit feels welcoming and familiar, and that’s entirely because of the incredible staff who go above and beyond to make each stay special.
Tammy in the mornings at breakfast is truly wonderful. She is so kind, friendly, and genuinely caring. She starts our days off with warmth and smiles that make you feel right at home.
Merissa at the front desk is amazing. She always remembers us and our names, which means more than she probably realizes. She is incredibly sweet to my 4 year old and makes her feel so special every time we walk through the doors. People like Merissa and Tammy are what turn a hotel stay into a memorable experience.
The hotel itself is perfect for families. We love the games and books in the lobby, especially during our nighttime hot cocoa runs, those little moments have become some of our favorite memories. There is also plenty of space to play outside on the hotel grounds, and the sledding hill in the back is such a fun bonus in the winter.
Between the thoughtful amenities and the genuinely kind people who work here, this Best Western holds a special place in our hearts. We always look forward to coming back and are so grateful for the care and kindness that make every stay feel like coming home.
