When I arrived to check-in, I was total the reservation was cancelled even though it still showed active on my American Airlines app and that I did not cancel the reservation. The Holiday Inn Front Dest Agent offered no explanation, apology, or any assistance in finding alternative lodging. I then contacted American Airlines. American Airlines confirmed that the reservation still showed active on its system. The American Airlines representative contacted this Holiday Inn and was informed that the hotel cancelled my reservation unilaterally due to high demand. No attempts were made to notify me or American Airlines that the Holiday Inn was cancelling my reservation. I had to scramble to find lodging during a busy weekend and ended up spending hundreds of dollars more for another hotel. At the completion of my trip, I tried to contact the Holiday Inn manager to no avail. Obviously, this Holiday Inn does not care about their customers. I have been traveling for more than 60 years, stayed at 100s of hotels domestically and internationally, and never had have a hotel just cancel my reservation! BOOK HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
