Lovely hotel with a great location. Didn't like the sink outside of the bathroom and not enough seating for breakfast. Other than that the hotel was great. Friendly staff. The keys also both stopped working on our second night but they were able to fix it in just a few mins.

I've stayed at this gorgeous hotel a few times now, every time my family and I go to Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. I cannot say enough good things about the staff, who are all incredibly welcoming and hospitable. And I've gotten upgraded to a suite from a standard room a couple of times now at no extra charge! This place is going to be my go to hotel from now on, every time I decide to stay in Williamsburg again!

Stayed at this location during the shoulder season for Busch Gardens in late August. Location is by far this location's strongest selling point, only ~6 minutes from Busch Gardens and with good amenities within quick driving distance. Rates during our stay in August 2025 were also a great value at under $100 a night for a standard two queen room. Rooms are recently refreshed, clean, and well-maintained. Refresher housekeeping was offered daily, which is not a given in 2025 and is an appreciated touch. We had limited interactions with staff outside of check-in and checkout, but both were friendly and competent. Walking distance to the fantastic Whaling Company restaurant is a big plus, and you should absolutely consider checking out this cooperatively-owned local gem if you your plans allow. During our visit, the standard of the breakfast offerings fell somewhat below the average Holiday Inn Express. Both the juice machine and the pancake machine were broken during our visit, and the breakfast potato/meat options were also noticeably lower quality than equivalent "express/value" chain hotels. Offerings such as Chobani Greek yogurt (in favor of smaller Yoplait cups) and fresh fruit selection were absent. These are not necessarily deal-breakers (especially considering the price point that we paid), but it is enough for me to knock a star off, and something that you should think about if you are relying on a hearty hotel breakfast, especially since I imagine this location is primarily catering to visitors to local attractions such as Busch Gardens or Colonial Williamsburg.
