I booked this through the vacation club, my girlfriend wanted us to go here for my birthday, I paid for everything in advance as far as the room goes and she spent a lot of money buying tickets to different things around town, after I check in we get to the room ( that was supposed to be a king) instead we got a double queen, any ways I check my bank account and was charged an additional $200 . I went up to the front desk and asked why and in the young lady said in an extremely rude and condescending manner it was for incidentals. I said that was a little extreme and she said “ not her problem it what it it”,, upon check out I addressed with the manager who proceeded to embarrass me in front of. A lobby full and I mean full of folks eating breakfast. This is extremely uncalled for and me and my family will never be using this establishment for any reason whatsoever again!

We stayed on a Saturday night in late November 2025. We arrived just after 10PM. We were visited Busch Gardens Williamsburg for Christmas Town all day and instead of spending the night driving all the way home we decided to splurge and get a hotel. Location of this hotel was great only being a few mins away from the park itself. There was only 1 elevator so it was quite slow waiting for it to go up and down. I think many folks staying here had the same idea we did staying here after a long day at the park. We had a 2 queen bed standard room (room 333). It was a bit smaller than we're used to but enjoyed the fact the sick was outside the toilet and shower room. There were only 3 towels when we arrived so we had to ask for more and these were some of the crunchiest towels I think I've used at over 2 dozen Holiday Inn Express we've stayed at. The mini fridge was not very cold. But at least the shower had hot water and great water pressure. The room was clean. The window for the room was also probably the smallest window we've ever had at Holiday Inn Express as well. There is a pool but it's outdoors and closed for the season. Breakfast was subpar to most Holiday Inn Express. The potatoes were obviously reheated and gross and stale. The veggie omelets were overcooked or reheated because the tops were all hard and chewy. There were 2 types of sausage but none of the food had signs. One was pork and one was turkey both pre-cooked. The pancake machine was not working when we were eating around 7:30. When we were leaving around 8:00 we noticed the pancake machine was now operational. Overall this was definitely on the lower end of Holiday Inn Express hotels we've stayed at. Since my sister checked us in, I never got to really interact with the staff. Bottom line, they need to work on their breakfast game and consider changing out their older towels.
