I hate ever leaving a 3 star review but this place warrants it. First, it's not a bad hotel per se, but it's definitely on par with a comfort inn. I've stayed at other Hampton Inns and they were definitely better than this one. To start with the good; their pool is heated to about 90 degrees which is nice, and their hot tub Jacuzzi was also heated. Their breakfast is good and has a lot of options (eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, oatmeal, waffle bar). The coffee is better than average and it's available in the lobby all day. Parking is right outside so you don't have to walk too far. The room I stayed in was HUGE. I've stayed in hotels in Manhattan where the room was the size of the bathroom in this place. Now the bad - THIS PLACE NEEDS TO UPGRADE THE BEDS. I REPEAT, THIS PLACE NEEDS TO REPLACE THE BEDS. I cannot stress this enough. The beds are atrocious. This one change would make it a 4 star review. Also, the showerhead in my room was broken. I could not get the HVAC fan to stay on for white noise while I slept even though it said it was. On the elevator I overheard two other guests asking each other how they slept and both said terrible so I know it wasn't just me. I can't say I wouldn't stay here again but I'd look elsewhere first.

We stayed while dropping our daughter at W&M. The lobby and breakfast room was undergoing renovation at the time, so breakfast (standard Hampton Inn fare—meh) was in a meeting room.
The front desk rep was very friendly, handling our walk-in reservation with ease. She was very friendly and professional—and also working when we checked out the following morning.
Our fourth-floor room was very clean. No hand/fingerprints on the door handles and surfaces as we had experienced at another Williamsburg hotel the night prior. The room was quite spacious and included a frig and microwave. The room was also super quiet. We heard nothing—inside or out.
A complaint we had, however is that there was no desk or anything except an office chair at a small round table. We would have liked to see a desk with built-in plugs, chargers, a light, etc.
We will definitely use this Hampton Inn again on visits to see our daughter at W&M.

My family’s stay was amazing. We slept well every night, and the amenities were great, though the tiny hot tub stopped circulating water once two people were in it. Other than that, the experience was fantastic. We enjoyed a different and delicious breakfast every morning, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. When our room key deactivated because I accidentally placed it next to my phone, they were quick to assist and very kind. I also learned something funny, if you stay in room 102, the light switch by the door actually powers the TV, so make sure to leave it on!
The location is conveniently off the turnpike and very close to Busch gardens. It is quiet and it is currently going through renovations. The service is beyond exceptional. I have stayed at Hilton Grand Vacation clubs and it didn’t compare to the service that Tina provided. She deserves to be recognized and I truly hope she gets the recognition she deserves!!! From the moment my family and I checked in she recognized my Hilton honors status, offered the water. She was extremely friendly and represented the way all Hiltons should be! Every time we crossed paths she was willing to strike up a conversation. We never felt as though we were an inconvenience to her. Great help is hard to find and you are so lucky to have Tina to be apart of your team!
