Every time we come to visit my daughter, we stay here, at least 3-4 times a year. Wiston is by far the best employee that works there. He always has a smile on his face, no matter the situation and always finds a way to fix any situation at hand. He starts my trip off right when I see he’s behind the desk. He always goes above and beyond to Make sure all of the guests are happy.

This hotel is very dated and in urgent need of renovations. Stained carpet, rusty shelves in the bathroom, sofa from the last century which creaks when you sit down. It was hard to get good sleep as the curtains don’t fully close to make the room dark. The AC is very loud as well. Spotty Wifi. I’ve stayed at many Holiday Inns and this one the worst. Location and service is very nice so there is potential to make it a nice hotel.

We stopped on our way through, for one night, to Myrtle Beach, SC from NY. The room was $248, we paid extra for the free breakfast and had to pay an extra $10 for parking for which was not stated anywhere. To start, the smell that hits you when you walk into the lobby is indescribable. The check in process was dull, the people behind reception were extremely dull and acted like we were inconveniencing them. The nicest people we encountered were the valet. The room was very disappointing, the smell was worse in the room, like musty and moldy. Stains all over the floor, the dresser had water damage and there was a mouse turd in the dresser drawer that we found the next morning. We were so exhausted when we arrived that we crashed and did not bother to look into anything until the morning. The breakfast was inedible, the sausage links were hard, bacon was nasty and soft, eggs were soupy, only good thing was really the fruit and it cost $17.49 a person. Definitely not worth the money. Find a nice place to go get breakfast. All the pools were closed except for the indoor one. Nothing indoors other than the pool and theater was open. I would avoid this place until their "renovations" are done but it doesn't look like the renovations are for most of the hotel. This place seems like it flooded during a hurricane and never got dealt with. We always stay with IHG and have never seen one in this bad of standing. It needs way more done than just "updated" rooms. They need to really fix a lot in this hotel.

We stayed there for a night when we visited the beach. Checkin experience was not great. We arrived at 4 which was checkin time, but we were told room was not ready yet and would take 30 mins to be ready. They provided with pool access until then. I gave my number and asked to call me immediately when the room is ready. As we were travelling with our toddler and wanted to relax before going to beach. It was more than hour and we walked on the boardwalk, I wanted to call and check if the room was ready and I did not get a response. So I went back to the reception almost at 6 pm and asked if the room was ready, and she said it was ready and handed me the key. I was 11 th person in the queue to get the room and at 6 when I went there were no one which means rooms were given to them already. The person at reception told me they sent me a text that room was ready which I never received. As we were only staying for one night and it was almost evening it did effect our plans. Room was nice and the views from the room was great. If the service was better, it would have been great experience overall.

Stayed here for 4 days. The hotel is pretty nice. It has two outdoor pools. One of the outdoor pools has a slide which my daughter enjoyed very much. Then they have an indoor pool which was warmer than the outdoor pool. The jacuzzi is still not working.
They have a little movie theater room that has different movies playing throughout the day.
The room was very spacious. I didn’t enjoy the smell of the room. It was so bad that I had to get candles. When we took our shower, the water came out dirty and nasty, but cleared up after a while.
There are still some improvements to be done, but it looks like they are trying.
Overall, the staff were nice and the hotel was not that bad. I give it a 4/5. I would stay again. There is a 7-Eleven across the street.
