Founders Inn and spa is a wonderful place to stay. This is our second visit and it has been wonderful. The breakfast in the morning is amazing and the rooms are very spacious. We had exceptional customer service from Ivenia, she was a huge help :)

Some good, some bad - some ugly… November 2025 I’ll start with the good: the architecture and charm are lovely. It’s very convenient for visiting my daughter at Regent. There are a few staff members that are fantastic (Ivenia, Stephen (restaurant) and Kaitlyn). The grounds are enjoyable with lovely nooks to enjoy reading or praying. There is a 4 cup coffee pot (hidden in the dresser). These are lovely features! Now for the bad: The check in guy was barely courteous and absolutely unwelcoming. The room smelled like mildew. The water is like warm. No adjusting the temperatures of the room, the curtain draw cord for the small window was broken and impossible to pull up. The walls are paper thin. You can hear phone conversations next door. The door to your own room will jar heavily when someone else’s slams closed. The one day I asked for a room clean halfway through my stay they entered my room, refilled the coffee (thankful for that!) turned the comforter like a five year old without actually making the bed, left the old towels and didn’t replace them, and then left my door open for me to comeback to. They “comped” 40.00 of a meal for my daughter and I to “enjoy” at their overpriced and poorly serviced restaurant but didn’t mention when offering it on the phone that it was such a low credit or I would have turned it down as we already planned to eat elsewhere after a few poor experiences. The same day that my door was left open, a man came to my door and painted it jarring the door for a few minutes without announcing himself at all and it was at around 7pm without any warning that maintenance would be doing that - so it was a little unsettling (this was actually the reason for the comping of part of our dinner - which was described as a dinner - not part of one). The sink doesn’t drain. The toilet is very low - even for my 5’4” stature - my 6’5” husband would have his knees in his face. The restaurant staff have very little to do being how not busy and most of my meals were buffet style and it was hard to get them to get even drinks. Except Stephen - he was refreshing and joyfully hard working. Sophia and our last waitress on the 19th were also at least pleasant although inattentive and slow. One morning there was no staff to be found at 10:15 and I just seated myself and got a plate. The bathroom in the main area has toilet paper in every stall toilet. I don’t mind that it’s old. But, the service and maintenance and customer care need a tremendous boost for the price point. Motel service is unfitting for the standard this place should offer. I will definitely avoid staying here in the future. I hope they hire more people like Stephen, Ivania and Kaitlyn - they will revive the hotel and we’re a redeeming factor to my stay.

My husband and I just celebrated our wedding weekend here at the Founders Inn. Our families and guests kept telling and raving to us how beautiful the venue was, that the food was so delicious during the cocktail hour and reception, and that it was all around perfect. Brock and I loved how attentive and caring the entire staff was for our special weekend. We loved the spa- great service and incredible massages! We want to give a shout out to Krystinia for coordinating everything with us for months to make our special day and vision come true and a shout out to the entire staff and chefs- the food was absolutely delicious, the service was unmatched, and everyone was so friendly and excited for us, and welcoming! This venue was incredible!! Thank you for such a memorable weekend at your venue!

Awful! Do your homework friends. We were there for our daughter's wedding and it was a mess from day one. We were walked in on 2 times by cleaning staff even with sign on door. Charged a different rate than our room block promised. Even calling the front desk to make sure we had done it correctly and yet we were charged incorrectly. Rooms were OK but showers had mold in them. Hallways were always dirty and the main entrance to our building smelled of urine. These are just a few of our concerns. So sad. What happened to the beautiful Hilton I once knew? This was my last trip with them. I was completely embarrassed as our family traveled many miles only to have several of the same issues.

This is the second time I stayed at the Founders Inn and Spa and I’m sad to say that it is my last. For a 4-star establishment my experience and the room were sub-par. I arrived at 11pm and was completely dissatisfied with the establishment. First of all, the first room I was given had dirty pillowcases and I immediately notified the front desk. They changed my room which was no better. There was hair on the floor of the bathroom and the toilet bowl had stains in it. I had to use the bathroom in the lobby area before walking all the way to my building to go to bed…it was extremely frustrating. I told the front desk about this and they notified me that housekeeping had left for the day but they’ll have someone over at 8am the next day to clean the bathroom for me. This was extremely important because I had to get ready and leave my hotel at 9am for an appointment. The front desk person (Shannon?) offered me free breakfast the next day for my troubles but I already had breakfast plans in the morning so it didn’t make sense for me to accept the offer. The next morning comes and I don’t hear from the front desk. I call at 8:30 and no one picks up so I had no choice but to walk over there and speak to them. Again, I had to use the bathroom in the lobby area that morning because I couldn’t use the one in my room. I explained the situation to the young lady at the front desk and it didn’t seem like she knew about my predicament. That was strange because Shannon assured me that the morning shift workers would get her notes. Looks like they didn’t. Eventually someone came to my room and cleaned the bathroom…by 9am. It was a major inconvenience since I had an appointment scheduled for 9am. The staff offered me nothing for my troubles. On top of all of this there was a dirty q-tip and crumbs in front of my room when I checked in and they were still there when I checked out 3 days later. For a 4-star hotel this was extremely disappointing.
