  This was an excellent place, right on the beach! The room was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and we will definitely come back!

  This place has the biggest roaches I have ever seen. We just keep seeing them. Absolutely disgusting.

  Overall wasn't bad. But wasn't loud at night. The first night the people in the room beside us was so loud I had to call the front desk at 130am. Then the next night it seemed people were slamming doors in the middle of the night. Hotels not bad but 2 nights in a row, of not sleeping well, I might stay somewhere else next time.

  The room was nice and clean with a magnificent view of the ocean. I felt at home in this hotel because we've stayed there so much. The staff was always busy cleaning the lobby and saying hello. The breakfast was really good, as well. They served corned beef hash, fried eggs, turkey sausage and biscuits and gravy along with all the other continental breakfast items including pancakes. It was a sold out hotel last night due to Jeepfest, but it didn't feel like it. The small indoor pool was not crowded at all and people were friendly. It was the perfect hotel to be at for the jeep festival as well. The parking situation can be tight when it is sold out, but they have 3 lots, just not on the premises. Only one large lot is attached to the hotel. With it being close to everything though, we just parked for the night and walked to the restaurant and activities. The only thing I forgot to mention was that our room's remote control wasn't working and the click had a burnt out light so it looked funny, but that can easily be overlooked. We always enjoy our stay at the Holiday Inn.

  Hotel staff is very kind and super quick to bring anything extra that you need in your room. We asked for extra towels and someone was to our room less than 5 minutes later. We stayed on the 7th floor and had beautiful views - enjoying the dolphins every morning and early evening. The room was okay. We prefer to stay at Holiday Inn Express when we travel due to the phenomenal experiences we have always had. But this hotel was underwhelming when it comes to cleanliness and upkeep. When I say this, I want to preface by saying that there were NOT any bugs of any kind. However, it didn’t appear that there hadn’t been any true cleaning done in the room. The room could have used a good vacuuming, dusting, and just an overall wipe down, especially in the bathroom. And the lack of cleanliness and upkeep of the room wasn’t due to sand/salt water or any unavoidable factors. Not filthy by any means, but definitely not the cleanest or well-maintained HIE hotel that I’ve stayed in. This is a great location for a VA beach getaway. We stayed in October, so parking wasn’t really an issue. When the lot was full (only happened once), there was plenty of parking across the street behind Ben & Jerry’s.
