We were in town for an event and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn because another family member was staying there. We were very disappointed with our stay. The furnishings were very dated, and the carpet was worn and dirty. There was visible rust and mold in the shower, and the grout was stained and crumbling. The curtains had what looked like nail polish stains on them. The synthetic bedspread was pilling, frayed, and uncomfortable, and the mattress itself was stiff. The pillows were in poor condition, with the stuffing clumped and separated, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. There were dark stains on the wall running along the length of the bed. The ironing board had zero padding and the stained cover would not attach to board, rendering it useless. Overall, the room felt poorly maintained and did not meet basic cleanliness or comfort standards. No amount of cleaning will fix the problem, and I do not fault the cleaning staff or even the hotel manager. Rather, this is long time neglect at the executive level, which reflects negatively on the Hilton brand. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made.

The staff were very good but lacked the ability to make changes when we checked in. Requested one of the reserved rooms be put in different name and credit card. Said they did but got charged for both rooms anyway. The hotel needs refurbishing badly.Furniture is dirty and carpet so worn especially in the hallways. Parking situation is terrible and especially late at night. I would think the Hilton Corporation would like this facility to better represent their brand than the way this location looks. Most reviews get the same response and ongoing issues are never taken care of.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay deserves one. The Hilton Garden Inn at Virginia Beach Town Center is old, dated, and dirty. The room had a musty smell, the tub was stained and grimy, and even the towels and bedding looked worn out and unclean. Everything about the property felt neglected — from the hallways to the furniture, it’s clear this hotel hasn’t been properly maintained in a long time. Honestly, this is the worst Hilton-branded hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and I’m surprised it’s still operating under the Hilton name. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere — this location does not meet the quality or cleanliness you expect from Hilton.

This was by far the worse experience I have ever had. The tubs were dirty. The keys never worked so we had to keep getting new ones. The staff never cleaned our room our entire stay after we asked them. We paid for breakfast and were told we couldn’t eat because we paid for our room and the breakfast through a third party Expedia. Keep in mind it was a 6 dollar breakfast that we paid 35 for. So where does that money go? They could have honored us eating knowing that we paid. I will never stay here again and I suggest you not either.
