This place has fallen so far, so fast. It used to be great now it is complete garbage. Need to get new management. I think nearly every surface of the room from the carpeting to the walls and furniture was stained in one way or another. The bedding smells terrible and felt like I needed a shower after leaving the hotel. The worst Hilton I've stayed at.

After my recent stay, I will never again stay at this hotel, or any hotel affiliated with the Hilton brand, including the Hampton.
PROS
The location is convenient.
CONS
Oh, boy - I really need to rant, because everything was terrible from the beginning. The check-in process did not go smoothly - I had to return to the front desk because my key card did not work initially. The A/C unit was loud and rattly. The staff member working the continental breakfast was somewhat rude. However, this all pales in comparison to the billing issue that I had with them.
I stayed from Oct. 29 to Oct. 30, and I definitely checked-out before 11:00 AM on Oct. 30. However, I did not receive an emailed receipt until Oct. 31, stating that I checked-out on Oct. 31. In other words, the receipt was fraudulent, and I was billed twice as much as I should have been billed. After going back and forth with both the hotel and my bank for weeks, plus some angry phone calls, I finally got a bill credit on Jan. 2. It took way too long and it was way too difficult to resolve this.
SUMMARY
Congratulations, Hilton Garden Inn Virginia Beach Town Center! You have just permanently alienated a customer from all Hilton-branded hotels. I just MIGHT change my mind if Hilton decides to refund the entire cost of the stay and give me a voucher or coupon. For now, the entire Hilton brand is on my S-List.

We travel a lot and know sometimes you have to roll with the punches and not everything will be perfect, but this stay was a total miss. We had 2 rooms, 1 room was gross. The shower was messy, there were dirty used linens in the shower, the bed sheets had dirt on them and holes, and there were meds/drugs under the bed. We spoke to someone at the front desk and they did send night time housekeeping up to redo the room.
There was trash in the hallways. And we were way over charged for a breakfast that wouldn't have passed a health inspection. What was supposed to be warm food felt like it came right out of the fridge and there was hair floating in the apple juice jars.
It's a shame because it's in a great location and this will absolultly have a negative impact on our future decisions to go to the town center and the events held there.

I wanted to love this hotel but the rooms are outdated & cleanliness needs to be addressed with the staff. Walls are paper thin, we could hear full conversations going on in the room next door as well as the TV when they were using it. It seems construction was going on the floor above us as week. Not at all what you’d expect from a Hilton hotel. Location is great! Walking distance to restaurants, shopping & more.

As much as I wanted to love this hotel, I encountered issues from the moment I arrived. My room was not ready, and although the front desk associate changed my room twice, neither option was acceptable. The rooms were unhygienic, unkept, and noticeably outdated. I couldn’t see myself staying in those conditions.
I went back downstairs and Carlos had just come on shift. He was truly a godsend. He sincerely apologized for the inconvenience, upgraded me to a renovated room, and extended my checkout time. The upgraded room was much better, and his professionalism completely shifted my experience.
That said, the hotel itself would benefit from postponing full operations until renovations are complete and a health inspection is conducted. While the location is excellent, the property overall needs more care and attention.
Carlos was the saving grace of my weekend trip to Virginia Beach. He was proactive, attentive, and checked in to ensure my stay was pleasant. His customer service was exceptional and deserves recognition.
