The rooms are remodeled and it was very clean. You can tell it's an older establishment but it is any great location. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. I enjoyed my stay because most places that I wanted to visit were within walking distance. This is not the first time that I've stayed in this hotel and it probably won't be the last.

Over all the stay was great. Rooms were clean and staff were great. The heat in the rooms is a little confusing to deal with it's hard to keep it at that perfect temperature. But it was fine. The only issue I have is shower curtains I hate them. I think showers should have glass doors for cleaness reasons. But over all loved my stay will stay here again

Only reason I gave service a 3 is because of the front desk clerk on duty around 6p on 12/31/2025. She was rude from the time I approached the desk to check in. No greeting but continued doing whatever she was doing on the computer and didn’t look up to acknowledge my presence, just to say that she would be with me when she was done. After about 5 or more minutes, she still didn’t even have the manners to say “good evening”…she didn’t know what she was doing either and then caught an attitude because she had to keep going to ask the manager what to do.
Management and the lady on the morning of 1/1/26 were very pleasant, accommodating and helpful. Hopefully, they lose the miserable baggage from my check-in. She’s a liability or at least needs some customer service training.

Staying at Garner Hotel Virginia Beach North by IHG was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel is spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The room was cozy and peaceful, and the sea view was simply breathtaking — waking up to it and relaxing at night felt magical.
The staff was warm, friendly, and genuinely caring, which made the stay feel even more special. The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and perfect for anyone looking to relax and enjoy Virginia Beach. The location is excellent, making everything easy and convenient.
