  This hotel is exactly what you’d expect from a Holiday Inn Express: perfectly adequate. The room itself was spacious, and the beds/pillows were comfortable enough. As soon as we walked into our room, though, we noticed a bit of an odor. Not sure what it was, but it was unpleasant and kind of musty. The bathroom also could have been a bit cleaner and less run down, but it wasn’t bad. We were near the elevators, so we thought it might be loud, but it was fine. The building is really close to the highway, so most of the noise came from that. Overall, it was a fine experience.

  Nice updated hotel, unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews. It is so close to the highway, you can hear every single car drive by, Jake brakes, trucks motorcycles and more. Thankfully the AC was so loud it possibly masked some of the highway noise. We couldn’t sleep so we checked out at 3:40am. Other than that the place was nice.

  When traveling to Florida we utilized the Thornsburg-E Fredericksburg location going and coming back. On April 2, 2026 we got there late and the customer service person was very rude checking in, we had a suite with 2 queen beds and a sofa sleeper for 5 of us and 2 bath towels so we went back to the desk and asked for more and she didn’t want to give us anymore. After insisting she gave us 3 more. The room & bathroom was not very clean. Coming back on April 11, 2026 the room wasn’t very clean & the bathroom needed a deep cleaning the ceiling light had debris and dead bugs in it. We are a platinum member and utilize Holiday Inn Express as our choice of hotels for their prices and continental breakfasts. But was disappointed in this location.

  The room wasn’t very clean. The pull out sofa bed mattress had stains all over it. Disgusting! The room did not feel clean! The foot of the sofa bed was higher than the head of the bed. Linens and blanket were not provided for the sofa bed. I had to carry linens, blanket and towels up to the room for the sofa bed. The window shade did not pull down all the way. The room was supposed to have a separate area/ room for the sofa bed as pictured but the sofa but was next to the 2 queen beds. Def not the standard for a Holiday Inn. Will not be staying at this dirty location again.
