  This hotel is conveniently located right off I-95 which was perfect for our family's needs for this road trip. The staff are super friendly and service with a smile (without overdoing it). Rashid was the gentleman that checked me in and assisted with additional bedding for the pull out sofa. I would not rely on images from Google Maps (at this time) as the building is updated and/or still in the process. I would utilize the IHG app/website if you want to see more current images.

  Rooms and hotel appeared to be very clean. Good location near restaurants and stores. Seems like safe area. We had two rooms. The water smelled bad in the shower in one room. The heat wasn’t working in our second room so we got a new room and the neighbors were very loud (I realize the hotel doesn’t have control over this). The walls are very thin though. One neighbor had a dog whining and barking. Another neighbor was loud late into the night. We notified the hotel but the noise continued. Another neighbor had kids loud until midnight after we went over there ourselves to ask them to keep it down. I would not stay at this hotel again.

  This might sound like a paid review but it’s not, nor is it a solicited review by IHG or the hotel. I’ve stayed here a few times, including 4 visits totaling 10 nights in the last year. I’ve also stayed over the years at other similar properties in the area. This hotel’s location cannot be beat if you are traveling by car via I-95 or I-495. EZ in, EZ out. Staff is both professional, helpful and friendly. Rooms updated and comfortable. Self service coffee all day long, not only at breakfast. I’ve never had a better breakfast at a 2.5 star hotel anywhere, or nicer staff taking care of the buffet. But honestly the best part is what’s available within a 5 to 10 minute walk. Whole Foods, Total Wine, Lidl and Aldi (the last 3 I can see from my window and are less than 5 minutes away on foot. Restaurants are everywhere. Ve never used their shuttle to the metro but I’ve been told it’s why some choose this hotel. Anyway that’s my take on the place

  We have used the Holiday Inn Express - Springfield, VA for many years with our groups. They are top notch in everything they do. Their hospitality is second to none! The fact that the hotel has been completely renovated is just icing on the cake! We would highly recommend the HIE-Springfield to anyone looking for a fantastic hotel in the DC area.

  Title: 5 Stars for Rashid and the Holiday Inn Express hotel in Springfield! I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Washington SW-Springfield for three consecutive weekends, and I won’t stay anywhere else when I’m in the area. The customer service here is truly top-notch, but Rashid deserves a special shout-out. He is the definition of “unreasonable hospitality.” From a week before my reservation until the very last day of my stay, Rashid used texting to stay in touch and ensure everything was perfect. It sends a powerful message that he truly cares about me as a "guest" rather than just another reservation number. The Hotel & Location: • Rooms: The perfect size and impeccably clean. • Location: You couldn't ask for better access. It’s right off I-495, I-395, and I-95. • Convenience: There is plenty of shopping, great food options, and self-care spots nearby. Thank you, Rashid, for making me feel so welcome. I’ll see you again on my next trip!
