Hey, it's not the Hilton, folks. But it doesn't have to be. I have stayed at almost every hotel in Springfield. Out of all the hotels in this immediate area, this is the best one. It beats the nearby Comfort Inn and Wingate by a mile, and it's way cheaper than the others (use Priceline!). It's well-maintained. The lobby looks and always smells brand new, the rooms are spacious, the bathroom showers have great water pressure, and thee staff are professional (virtual kiosk is active when there's nobody at the desk). The TV channel selection is among the best I've seen in the low-cost chains, the place has a pool in the summer, and it's a stone's throw from a major shopping mall. There are plenty of food options in Springfield, as well, and this place sits right next to I-95, easy access to DC and the rest of VA. There are 2 small gym rooms (one cardio, the other with 2 cable machines and medicine balls).
What REALLY sets it apart is the breakfast buffet. Simply put, they've got everything. Hot food, cold cereal, fruit, pastries, yogurt, juice, coffee, grits, granola bars, a full spread of sauces and toppings. It's really quite impressive. It does get a bit cramped on the weekends, though. The waffles even have the little "BW " logo in the middle, which I thought was cool. Parking is free (you MUST get a permit, they WILL tow you overnight and you get what you deserve)
The only downsides I can think of is there are no microwaves in the rooms (there is one in the lobby, though). Also, the noise can be a bit much being that it sits next to a major highway (not the hotel's fault). And a really minor thing here, the eating tables in the room are a bit small. Other then that, I am very happy I stayed here.
