- KKKnyteDocJan 20, 20263.0The staff here was nice from check in to check out, front desk gentleman that checked us in Amazing (African American young man)housekeeping, breakfast lady. So 2 complaints, our room 217 across from the elevator smells like something died in it. To the point where my husband stood on a chair to look on top of the closet, pulled back the refrigerator, looked under the bed. We are not complainers and honestly after driving 12 hours we just wanted to go to bed so we didn't move. I carry bath and body works room spray always. Well the next day it was worse so we went to the gas station and bought little trees air freshener and hung them in the room. Then the next day we bought Odor neutralizing spray Ozium and that did not help. As we were checking out we let the housekeepers know that the room smelled like someone died in it. They said ...THEY KNOW!!! They had stopped putting people in that room because of the smell ...So why would you put us in that room????? The hotel was not full ...Now that part is horrible!!! And all the front desk could say was you didn't ask to move. 2nd complaint, which I hope will get resolved is my son left his gold watch in the room. He went back up to do a once over check and didn't see anything and when we got on the road called the hotel. He was told housekeeping was gone for the day and no one turned anything in to lost and found. When we got home and unpacked, no watch. So we will be calling hotel again because it was left in the room so someone from housekeeping has it, period. If it does not show up in lost and found a police report will be filed. Of course I will update this post if this is resolved.
