    The room itself was fine. The mattress was a bit lumpy and uneven, but not entirely uncomfortable. Kevin and Chamberlayn at the front desk were excellent and very helpful. Unfortunately, I had a frustrating experience with two other front desk staff members (I didn’t get their names). I asked in advance if I could store my luggage after checkout and was told yes. The night before checkout, I also confirmed with another employee that I could check out at 12 PM. She wrote down my last name and room number to note it. However, the next morning housekeeping began knocking at 10 AM. I informed them I had been approved for a 12 PM checkout and they acknowledged it. Then at 11:15 AM, housekeeping knocked again. When I called the front desk, I was told I was actually supposed to check out at 11 and was given 15 minutes to vacate the room. I quickly gathered my belongings and went downstairs to check out. When I asked about storing my luggage (which I had previously been told was allowed), I was then told no. I completely understand if late checkout or luggage storage isn’t permitted. My frustration is with the inconsistency in communication between staff and the lack of follow-through on what I was told. Being given 15 minutes to leave after being approved for a later checkout was annoying and avoidable. Clear and consistent communication between shifts would prevent situations like this.

    I almost didn’t stay here because of previous reviews. However, my daughter had an early flight out and we were expecting “historic” weather. So, last minute we made the call and other places we tried were already booked. It is an older hotel which does feel a little dated, but the facility and room were both nice, quiet, and clean. The bed was super comfy, too. They had an indoor restaurant and gym. AND their team was wonderful, from Kevin at booking, Ishmael at check-in, Alfonzo at the shuttle, and the sweet lady who checked me out this morning. (I’m sorry I may have forgotten your name—Tavina?) The airport was only a mile away and had given a notice about parking changes. It was SO easy to grab the hotel shuttle in the am instead of trying to drive and figure out unknown conditions. I enjoyed my ride/morning with my daughter and after her plane left, they kindly picked me back up and brought me back to the hotel. When I forgot my toothbrush they had one of those, too. They were friendly, helpful, and made my life easier and I appreciate that so much! I’d stay again. Thanks all! ❤️🙏
