  I called the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. I then asked the manager that I want to request a refund due to there being cockroaches in the room and then got told that I will not be receiving any refunds but instead hotel points. Also then got accused that my girlfriend already left a bad review on the website when she never did. Also got told that the bugs I included in this post were so called “ladybugs” I will not be staying here again

  Very basic rooms. No microwave in rooms but available in lobby. 24 hrs coffee bar. Free breakfast. Right off the interstate, convenient for travel.

  This was suprisingly the best hotel I've ever stayed at, (aside luxury at 4x the cost) The beds were very comfortable and I have a bad back so it really matters. Good tv, 4k and hooked right up to our phones so we could watch all our regular shows, but also had live/local cable so we could watch local news and weather too. All the staff was super nice and helpful, checking in and out was a breeze, They had a nice selection od drinks and snack available, The hotel itself was very clean, looked recently renovated, nice carpets, the shower was new and spotless. Bed sheets and pillows changed everyday, good shampoo and conditioner provided, Breakfast was included and free coffee at all hours. Breakfast hot foods were meh, steamed eggs and not awesome sausage at all, but they offered lots of other options, bagles(and a toaster) various breads, hot oatmeal and toppings too, cereal, and a cooler with yogurts and juices, etc. We were happy with that. My only reservation was I wish the rooms had microwaves, the only one was in the lobby. Room did have a mini-fridge tho, so that was manageable. Everything was perfect, definitely will use the hotel chain from now on.

  This hotel is brand new, and sparkling clean, but let down by some lapses in service. I have stayed at other Avid properties, so the minimalist vibe was as expected. They have a few issues to address to earn 5 ☆. First and most importantly, when we checked in on sunday night both elevators were out of service. This reduced the four story hotel to a one story hotel, and I was forced to sleep in a double bed instead of the king bed I had reserved. Desk clerk said that it would not be fixed because it was the weekend and no one could repair it till monday. Absolutely unacceptable. If they couldn't get a repair person, they should have called someone into run the elevators manually, so people could get up and down and not have to drag luggage up the stairs. Second, the shampoo and body wash in the shower were empty. This is a pet peeve of mine. I don't mind hotels using refillable toiletries, but the housekeeping staff should make sure that they are filled between every guest. The beds only had a thin comforter, barely adequate even in october. Some extra blankets in the room would be welcome, no one wants to get up in the middle of the night to get extra blankets. A little coffee pot in the room would also be welcome for the same reason, although coffee is available in the lobby twenty four hours. All that being said, the hotel is brand new and sparkling clean, and the $30. Pet fee is more reasonable than the $75. Charged elsewhere. Breakfast was adequate and nicely presented. I hope this hotel can fix a few flaws because it has great potential.

  This is a nice new very clean hotel. The lady that checked us in had a fantastic personality. For the price you pay for these rooms (lower than most) it is worth the few conveniences it does not have (microwave in the room). The young man running the breakfast area seemed to be struggling to keep up. I had to put my head in the breakfast area to let him know the second coffee machine went down (he had headphones on and was staring at his cell phone). That’s when he came out noticed the trash on the floor and spills on the counter. When we went to go up the elevator a gentleman coming down said the elevators weren’t going past the second floor and one of the elevators was down completely. All in all it was a very nice stay- I think there are just some bugs (not literal) that need to be worked out. If we are ever back in the area we would choose this hotel again.
