  This is the best deal on a hotel in Roanoke. Minutes from downtown, this hotel had everything we needed. The service was impeccable, the amenities were more than I expected for the price (including free breakfast)! If you’re looking for a deal in downtown Roanoke, look no further!

  We came here to stay to celebrate my mothers 60th birthday First time staying at this hotel and last horrible experience , first off the outlet in the bathroom you couldn’t even plug anything into it because it was so offset. Second checked in Saturday went to our event came back went to sleep had to go downstairs to get two like duvet thin covers because even adjusting the thermostat it was cold. Week after my checkout i look at my bank account to notice i have an additional 80 dollar charge that nobody could explain, then finally getting the manager on the phone they claim i stole two comforters out of the room which i was charged for she then states house keeping said the comforters weren’t in the room. Well first off i was never even told of these charges, second i am far from a thief and a liar, maybe you’re housekeeping people never put the comforters on the beds considering we had to go get two additional blankets but as a guest we wouldn’t know what was on the bed and what is missing. Also maybe you’re housekeeping ladies mistaked that the comforters weren’t there but really were. I can assure you the comforters weren’t taken by us pretty sad we came to have a celebration for my mothers 60th birthday and have to worry about these con artist falsely accusing us of stealing two comforters it’s truly sad. Speaking with the manager Ashley was a complete joke as she could care less to hear what i had to say she just kept repeating herself well my house keeping ladies reported that they were missing 0 understanding that this is a huge misunderstanding but to charge someone for something they didn’t at all take and to accuse me of being a liar and a thief over some comforters is insane . Anyone in the area looking for a hotel avoid this hotel at all cost unless you want to be charged for things that you didn’t take. This hotel is a bunch of con artist as I’ve stayed in thousands of hotels and never once ever had this issue ever! Ashley needs to find a new job being a manger isn’t the fit for her as she continued to accuse me of taking these items , where is the customer service and understanding that hey maybe my ladies forgot them when they got the room ready or maybe they took them out and didn’t realize but not only being accused of taking one but two is absolutely insanity , if i needed a new comforter for my home it wouldn’t be one thousands of people slept under this is crazy. Find another hotel in the area to stay.

  The phrase lipstick on a pig comes to mind on this converted Comfort Inn, now a Hilton property. I had never even heard of Spark before this stay. The aesthetics from the outside was not attractive to me. No debris in the lot or walk up. No issues with parking and thank you for Diamond Parking. Check in was ok, no acknowledgment of Hilton Honors, no complimentary bottle water. Other experiences with the front desk during my stay were very good. The rate was fantastic which is why I booked. The general areas of the hotel seemed fine. I did not utilize the FREE breakfast. All areas I was in were clean. My double was prepared for my arrival and everything worked including TV. The bath had proper supplies except low shampoo that ran out day two. Beds comfortable. Wake up calls went off with no issue. I denied cleaning during my three nights. The room was decorated, or lack there of strangely in my opinion. Empty walls where art should be. Then art above the beds. I may, or may not stay at this Spark again. 3.5 fits them best, but rounding down.
