  BEWARE THEY CHARGE FOR PARKING EVEN THOUGH THE WEBSITE SAYS IT IS FREE as of November 2025. Stayed here for 7 nights over 2 different weeks. Even though their website says complimentary parking, they have a sign up that says they charge for parking. I managed to get it removed the first trip at check in. The second trip I mentioned it again to the lady that checked me in. She acknowledged it but when I reviewed the bill after I got home, it was still there. I didn't bother to try to get it removed but charging for parking when you say it is free is disingenuous. Not to mention that I could park in the strip mall next door without a charge. Plus, the hotel never suffered any parking shortage. Kind of annoying. Overall, it is a good value for the price. Just be aware they charge for parking, $5 per night. If they website still shows it is free parking, make sure they remove it. I feel like that is just a profit grab for the operator.

  Clean, spacious room. Friendly front desk at check in. Breakfast stayed well stocked and dining room clean. Close to airport but did not hear planes or traffic from 581. Kind of isolated, no restaurants in walking distance. Enjoyed our stay!

  I was in town for a family emergency and stayed for a night. Very clean room. Comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. No "hot" food but has cereal, bagels, muffins, yogurt, boiled eggs, juice and coffee. While we were eating, the employee brought out fresh bananas and made sure everyone who was already eating knew. Check in and check out we very easy. Next time I am traveling, I will definitely look for a Spark by Hilton hotel!

  Watch out for this hotels false advertisement for "free parking" My family reserved a room with this hotel under the impression it was free parking. When checking in the RUDE front staff member stated there was a $5 per day fee for parking and pointed to a piece of paper that was on the counter. I explained that the hotels website states free parking and she tried to argue that since the reservation was through a 3rd party they couldn't confirm what was quoted when confirmation was made. The 3rd party website in fact also stated it was free parking. The manager was involved and agreed to wave the fee. I reminded them again to update their website if they are going to charge for parking because no one is going to know there is a parking fee until they are physically checking in and thats false advertisement unless their reservations state that hidden fees will be applied at the time of check-in. staff was rude never greeted anyone (not even a hello) and it had a strong weed smell. NOT a good representation of the great city Roanoke is.

  Staying at Hilton Spark hotels is s new experience for us. Of any of the Hilton brands this appears to be the most no frills chain. With no coffee makers, no microwaves, continental breakfast (maybe), extremely tiny refrigerators, and AC that barely cooks, if you just want to check in and fall into bed, this might be the place for you. As for me, I'll stick to other Hilton names or even Best Western SureStays.
