    After a grueling drive ( flat tire included) from Ct , we arrived in Roanoke to a fabulous suite & friendly front desk ! Everything was perfect & a relaxing end to an unpleasant drive ! Hospitality at its best !

    This is one of the worst Hiltons I have ever stayed in. The app says free parking. I check in and there is a $5 fee a night for parking. Mind you this place is run down. The window shades doesnt work, no curtains, the bathroom fixtures are all broken. The only benefit of staying here is the location close to the highway and the mall.

    I recently stayed at the Home2 Suites by Hilton in Roanoke, Virginia from Tuesday, October 7th through Saturday, October 11th and service failures that severely impacted my stay. Room Condition Issues: • Dishwasher: The front panel was smeared with a sticky, unidentifiable substance, suggesting poor cleaning and hygiene standards. • Master Lamp: The wall-mounted lamp above the nightstand was broken and non-functional. • Bathtub: The tub was stained with rust and grime near the drain, making it unsanitary and unusable. • Bathroom Door: The door connecting the bathroom to the bedroom was broken at the hinge, compromising privacy and safety. • Tissue Box: The tissue box was empty upon arrival. When I asked staff to refill it, I was told there were no tissues available—an unlikely claim that felt dismissive. • I requested to change rooms which I was told was unavailable at the time according to them. Service Failures: • Housekeeping: My room was not serviced at all during my four-night stay. No fresh towels, no trash removal, no replenishment of basic amenities. • Breakfast Staff: When I politely asked if disposable utensils were available, the staff responded rudely and dismissively. This was not an isolated interaction—the overall tone from staff throughout my stay was unwelcoming and unprofessional. But hey they gave me 40,000 bonus points to go through hell so I should be happy. If I could give zero stars I would do so.

    We’ve stayed here probably 5 times in the past couple years. This time they have raised the rates 30% and have the audacity to charge for parking at an interstate hotel where 100% of guests must arrive by car. Note that my reservation from Hilton says the parking is free so it’s not clear who is applying this fee. We’ll find a different hotel next time.

    This is one of my favorite places I have ever stayed! After two VERY traumatizing stays in a row at other places, this was a breath of fresh air and was a great value for what we paid. We loved the bright colors and warm decor (there were a few insignificant cosmetic details around that we didn’t mind at all). Plentiful shelving and storage in the room with nice windows. Breakfast was good. The wheelchair accessible room is excellent for families and has real dishes with a midsize fridge and freezer. Cleanliness was excellent. Staff were excellent. Best things of all, it’s pet friendly with a small pet fee!! I didn’t have my dogs with me (I was on vacation from my job as a dog trainer), but this will be a top choice for me next time I travel with my dogs. Only “complaint” is that there is a really small parking fee per day that would normally be included at other places, and as a few others have mentioned we could hear other people in their rooms but it wasn’t too bad. 10/10 recommend for tracking families with children and/or dogs 🐕
