I will never stay at this hotel or any other IHG property again. The staff at this property is completely inept, specifically the Asst. GM "Kat" and front desk agent "G".
They fraudulently charged my card ten days after I stayed and never returned calls, called me a liar and to call the police.
Trying to be considerate I gave it a week and reached out to IHG Guest Relations for help (Ref# 10580224843) but nobody was able to find the charge.
I had to dispute it with my credit card company who deactivated my card and now I have to wait on a new one.
I work in hospitality and this was terrible customer service.

We are a local boutique based out of Smith Mountain Lake (about an hour away from Roanoke). We participated as a vendor in the Stocked Market event put on by the Junior League of Roanoke Valley, VA. The League partnered with this specific Holiday Inn because it is directly across the street from the Berglund Center where the event is held. Vendors from Stocked Market received special rates for booking at this hotel and most vendors booked MONTHS ago. Conveniently on the last day of setup for vendors and the DAY OF CHECK IN for most, “local” vendors received a call from hotel staff stating they would have to CANCEL the reservation we made due to us being considered as “local” and that they now have a “no locals policy” due to too many locals trashing rooms. After explaining that we were WITH Stocked Market who they PARTNERED with, they would not make an exception. We also explained that two years ago we were able to stay at this exact hotel for the exact same event and had absolutely NO issues whatsoever. So instead of us being able to stay in Roanoke after LONG and TIRING days of Market, we were forced to drive back and forth every day for the 3-day event. (Again, about an hour away!) Absolutely insane to me that a company would cancel on VENDORS even though they PARTNERED with the event. Members of the event staff were made aware and they were not happy and I hope they consider NEVER partnering with them again.

Would have given a 5 star review but when I went to check in, I was asked to provide photo ID. Because my ID had my old address on it ( a local address) I told the gentleman that I had moved over an hour away and even though I provided the address that he could not give me my room key and check me in until I had an ID with my new address on it. I was able to find my voter registration card with my current address on it although it was out of date. I was finally checked in when I showed him an email receipt from the heating an air company that had been to my address in July.
Other than the headache at checkin, which wouldn't have been a problem had my confirmation email stated "no local address". The room was clean, the elevator was only accessible with a room keycard, and the front door locked at 11pm (keycard required for entry) which are nice security features. The breakfast was very good. The best part about the entire stay was the coffee in the lobby. It was hands down the best coffee I've ever had at a hotel. The machines grind the coffee beans fresh(you can see them).
