Called to make sure the pool was in fact heated and was open to swim, the guy at the desk confirmed both ,booked the reservation, we get there 4.5 hrs later after the drive which is a half waypoint of my destination only to find out the pool is closed. Only reason we picked this hotel as there were many nicer hotels in the same area for almost the same after taxes. Unfortunately they got us and I'm someone that don't like to complain or affect someones place of business but come on. The front desk is across from the pool how could the guy at the desk when you call not know? Room was alright but definitely is on its lastyears before needing a total facelift, hole on the tub,peeling ceiling paint, this is a pet friendly hotel which I don't mind but if you don't like the smell of possible there was a dog in the room at one time "if you know the smell you know " then it's not the hotel to come too

That pool, and the breakfast are great. Rooms are clean and cozy.. Staff is super nice and helpful

Rooms can use an update in my opinion but it works. From what I can tell there's more than enough rooms available. Plus they have an indoor pool that closes at 11 pm. That's rare. Free breakfast is great.

You received a 1 star review based on service alone. My husband went to Roanoke for work and was told about this hotel. He checked in and tried to use his rewards program which also was suppose to have a 20% discount for members and per reservations the room was to be $72.20. I asked if a reservation needed to be placed and was told there was availability and as long as his membership was active before check in he would be fine; which the membership was. The front desk clerk said the email could not be found (reservations found it though) and the kicker, after charging his card over $400 he was informed by the General Manager that he was kicked out of all the systems and could not stay there. The front desk clerk tried to tell me she went to the room but he was gone. Truth is I now know that he was at the desk while I was on the phone with her to turn in his key; she knew he left. After I complained they tried to say the would have worked with him, but that's not true either. For a place that is based on hospitality, they were not very hospitable. I requested a call from the GM; however after telling my husband he couldn't stay there all of the sudden she couldn't talk business on her phone. My husband has to be at work 6am and had to trace all over town to find a place close to work. Had to transfer money because this place charged his card. Yes, before you ask he did show them that the card was charged and they still did nothing. Corporate needs to address the GM specifically because the front desk lady mentioned him being from TN; but we are from WV. This means they may have done this to multiple people. Shame on you.
