  The room was not ready when I arrived at 9 pm. There were piles of dirty linens. The front acted surprised about it. Sure, things happen. Then the boiled eggs (deshelled) at the breakfast were sour. I mentioned it to the kitchen staff. They removed the tray of the eggs and took out a "new" one two minutes later. I tried them again and still sour. That leads me to think they were the same tray. People could get sick from them. Richmond is probably that one "city" that has consistently poorly managed hotels at city prices. I had to travel to Richmond for work in the past year and tried out various hotel brands in the area. Hilton, Marriott, Hampton Inn, Holiday Express... all of them somehow offer subpar basics (not even looking for services) compared to other cities, or even rural areas... in addition to aggressive drivers, rampant car thefts, lack of a safe downtown, etc... Why???

  Overall a good hotel. Beds were just ok. The parking really needs improved. Service was good. Kind of so so.

  Expedia messed up my reservation and the front desk person Delonte went above and beyond to get my reservation corrected and get us in our room, this was our first time at this hotel and we were hesitant about booking here but after our interaction with Delonte, we will definitely come to this hotel everytime we are in time. Thank you Delonte for handling our issue and getting us in our room. He definitely is one of the best associates we have encountered at any hotel we have ever been too and we travel a lot.

  Great place to stay. About a 10 minute drive to the Science Museum of Virginia. Friendly staff! A great place for guest with pet and environmental allergies.

  As a platinum member, I’ve been to over 30 IHG hotels and this one is by far the worst due to unprofessional manager and front desk attendant, Mo. As a current corporate healthcare leader & Dr., who has had to run several hospitals in the CEO capacity, former United States Navy officer, and who has treated 1000’s of patients, this IHG location’s manager and front desk staff should be terminated or moved as far away from customer service as possible. Don’t bother to shower for more than 2 minutes unless you want rude, schizo, & unprofessional front attendant named ‘Mo’ to bang relentlessly on your door and demand that you answer, “Why are you setting off my fire alarm!” Don’t have any mail delivered to the hotel unless you want an uncaring manager to nonchalantly swear that it was never delivered despite me having a tracking # & signature of attendant who signed for it. The mail was only found after calling IHG customer support, then walla, she recants and reports that the mailed credit card was delivered after all. Only one elevator working for weeks if not months and so so so so so slow. Front lobby line is soooo slow also so might as well take a nap while you’re waiting. Parking lot is full of potholes and littered with nails and sharp objects. good with plenty of parking though. Avoid this IHG at all cost unless you’re intentionally trying to have a nightmare.
