The room was lovely, but I can’t get behind giving it a great review when the ones most important thing in a room, which is the mattress has a huge dip in it and should’ve probably been thrown away before it was rented. The response to my informing front desk felt blasé and he said he’d give me some points. - I didn’t feel like taking it further so I left. The staff was fine, nothing stellar. But I heard the bar staff be quite rude in an underhanded way towards other guests. Photo shows sheet pushed onto mattress, not the dip

Front desk manager was very rude lady and dismissive! I hope Hilton reconsiders who works at the front desk because it gives off a first impression. Room was outdated , breakfast and the restaurant at night was good . Only issue was the initial check in . Wouldn’t stay here again.

I am a Hilton Honors member and wanted to share a concerning experience at Hilton Richmond Downtown. On 2/26/2026 at approximately 1:54 AM, I called the front desk for assistance. The representative I spoke with refused to provide his name when I politely asked for identification and then hung up the phone on me.
This was very disappointing, especially as a Hilton Honors guest who expects professional and respectful service at all times. I strongly recommend that management investigate who was working at that time, as the interaction reflected very poor customer service and a lack of willingness to assist Hilton Honors members. I hope the hotel addresses this issue to ensure better guest experiences in the future.

The location is ideal & convenient; however the service is deplorable. I’m a diamond member & always stay at Hilton properties where available. I travel for work 85% of my time. This hotel didn’t offer water in the rooms. It was my first time in 3 years I walk in & the room wasn’t prepped. The hotel is apparently having renovations & has an extreme gas or chemical smell it was nauseating. It was reported but the staff was unfazed. I will not penalize Hilton as a whole because this was my first unpleasant experience in a property - I will however never stay at this hotel EVER!!

THE "MANAGER" THREATENED TO CALL THE COPS OVER HOTEL NEGLIGENCE!
I came in late from work needing Tylenol for a severe headache. I skipped the convenience store with expectations of getting some from the "suite shop," but the entire shop was completely empty. Not only that, but a stood at the counter for 10-15 mins waiting, knocking, and asking loudly if anyone was there. Nobody responded or came to the desk. It was 11pm on 2/5/26. I have spent much less at other Hamptons and recieved far better service.
The "manager" finally came and told me the lobby was closed, I responded by saying the "suite shop" has a 24 hour sign and that I needed Tylenol for a severe headache. She said I could go to Homewood Suites in the same building. I commented that the suite shop says 24 hours. Not to mention, it's nearly completely empty.
She threatened to call the cops on me! Not yelling, not aggresive, or violent. Only making my point. Apparently, being "smart" is enough to call cops. She asked for my room number, but I walked away worried about what she would do if she knew which room i was in. I have never been more insulted for needing what's advertised. Disgusting.
I will say that I appreciate being upgraded at the beginning, but I believe that is my due because of my membership status. Regardless, it was very kind of them.
