    Disappointed in the Hilton. Housekeeping didn't come by first day. Asked front desk at 5pm when they were coming by, they replied they had gone for the night. Second day at noon went to front desk to request housekeeping. Came back down again at 3pm, they stated housekeeping goes home at 3pm. I reiterated this would be the second day we had our room turned. She said "we'll try". Multiple people on our floor never had housekeeping come through. AC clicks on and off and is extremely loud. TVs have only cable, no streaming or Bluetooth connection. You can hear street noise very easily- bring a sound machine. Front desk staff is dismissive and not friendly. Good location. Breakfast was OK.

    We stayed on blustery Friday night. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a former landmark department store, and the history of the place is well-commemorated with signage and displays. We attempted an evening stroll through the neighborhood, but the weather was not cooperative and the surroundings were somewhat sketchy and more deserted than we would have expected on a weekend. When we returned from dinner, the elevators were not available because another guest had an emergency of some sort. But the manager swooped right in and made sure we were made comfortable in the Gather & Hem Bar until the situation was resolved, and he introduced us to one of the best whiskey sours I have had in a long while! The room itself was very comfortable and had all the expected amenities. Table-service breakfast the next morning was complimentary. The food was average, but the service was pleasant.

    Mer John, the on-site reservations specialist at your Broad Street location in Richmond, for his outstanding service during my recent stay. Although there was a slight delay at check-in due to a computer glitch, Mr. John handled the situation with remarkable professionalism, courtesy, and empathy. He was sincerely apologetic and went above and beyond to resolve the matter efficiently. His calm demeanor, problem-solving skills, and genuine kindness not only met my expectations—they exceeded them. Mr John is an asset to the organization. Thank you!

    If this review is helpful, please make sure you leave it a like 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽. Okay, you guys, there is a lot to say about this place. So when we got there, it did seem like the front desk staff was overwhelmed . I asked to see if I could be accommodated with the room with two beds in it. The lady that was helping me said that my room did have two beds in it. But as you can see from the photos, it did not. By the time I got all the way upstairs to my room. I was so tired from work that I did not feel like coming back downstairs to discuss it. I like a room with two beds because I like to take the covers from the one bed and double them up on the other. As well as it is easier to set up for the next day to get out of there. Because there was not a second bed. I had to call downstairs to see if they could bring me up a blanket. It was cold in the room and the heat was minor. They never showed up with the blanket. This was just another upsetting thing. The lack of hospitality and customer service was unbelievable. There was absolutely no view as you can see from the photos.You're looking downstairs at the courtyard. The room is a good size, but there is very little light in the room. Another thing that just made me upset. Hot water pressure was good. The bed slept okay. But all in all, I would not stay here again, If I can help it.

As a long-time Hilton Honors member who frequently stays at Hilton brand hotels, I usually prefer not to comment on specific room details, since those experiences can vary from stay to stay. Instead, I’d like to highlight the attentiveness and professionalism of the hotel’s management team. During my visit, Jonathan was especially helpful and responsive to my questions and concerns. With the shift to virtual check-ins, it’s easy to miss that personal touch, but I truly appreciated Jonathan’s proactive outreach and genuine effort to ensure my stay was comfortable. I truly understand hotels need to be refreshed and heavy upkeep. Not every stay is perfect but it's the follow up that I appreciate.
