- W1Work 1Dec 17, 20251.0They cut corners in every way possible. I can't imagine all the issues we didn't find but here's a list of the ones we did experience: 1. At 2am an incessant alarm started beeping from the AC system. It woke everyone up. It was reported to the front desk and they said, rest assured its for the filter in the AC. You can just ignore it and we'll fix it when you leave... so dirty air and noise all night. 2. Phone is broken, so couldn't call front desk, had to walk there at 2am. 3. The pull out mattress was disgustingly dirty. Extremely worn and uncomfortable, and they didn't have the extra sheets and blankets for it. 4. There was a smell in the room that smelled like gas, carbon monoxide. 5. Breakfast was subpar at best. 6. Referidgerator was leaking. There were a few other things... point being, don't stay here. It's not worth it. Holiday Inn needs to figure something new out. This place isn't cutting it.

From check-in to check-out, the property demonstrated a strong commitment to cleanliness, professionalism, and guest satisfaction. The hotel was well-maintained, fresh-smelling, and orderly, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and quiet, allowing us to finally relax after a stressful evening. I would like to specifically recognize Jamel, who assisted us upon arrival. He was professional, courteous, and efficient, and handled our check-in with genuine care and attention. His demeanor and customer-first approach reflected extremely well on the IHG brand. This property operates at a high standard and clearly prioritizes operational excellence and customer experience. We are very grateful to have found it and would confidently recommend this hotel to both business and leisure travelers visiting the Norfolk area. This is hospitality done right.

I canceled after I called to verify and was told it was just a room , this is not even more than 30 minutes after I book and they told me they cancelled it . Why they still charge me for the entire night stay when I didn't even check in . I'm also sharing this information with Google and other platforms , I want my full refund
