Stay Away – Poorly Managed Renovation and Disruptive Stay
I strongly advise travelers to avoid this hotel, especially while it is under renovation. Construction in itself is understandable, but the way it’s being managed here is unacceptable. Dust and debris were not properly contained, and the common areas are frequently dirty and neglected. It’s clear there was little effort made to minimize the impact of the renovation on paying guests.
Cleanliness suffered noticeably. Fine construction dust seemed to linger in the air and on surfaces, which is not only unpleasant but concerning from a health standpoint. If you’re sensitive to dust or traveling with family, this is absolutely not the environment you want.
Even worse, the fire alarm went off randomly on multiple nights during my stay. Being jolted awake by a blaring alarm — with no clear communication or explanation — is beyond frustrating. It completely disrupted my rest and left me questioning the hotel’s safety protocols and operational competence.
Between the uncontrolled renovation mess and repeated nighttime disturbances, this was far from a restful or enjoyable stay. For the price paid, the experience was deeply disappointing. Until management can properly handle renovations and ensure basic guest comfort and safety, I would recommend booking elsewhere.

My command dumped me here on a 4 day weekend. The first 2 days went smoothly but they refused to allow me to book the entire weekend so I was stuck going to the lobby to book my room every day. The third morning I found out that they didn't book the room with the queen bed to the single sailor because they wanted the option to rent it to a couple at a higher price. They didn't have any other rooms available and it was time for me to leave. No problem, I called a cab and went to my room to pack my bags. Unfortunately the police beat my taxi to the hotel due to the Labor Day traffic and I was arrested for trespassing even though they told to me wait in my room and the lady at the front desk even reactivate my key-card for me. If I'd have known they wanted me gone that badly I'd have WALKED to the Navy Lodge, but they don't ask you to leave. They will call the cops after telling you wait in your room so your luggage doesn't "clutter the lobby". Don't let your people get caught in this particular tourist trap. They might not remember me but the criminal record I now have due to the fact that I was in the hospital for the court date (diabetes complications) I now have a criminal record and have ridden in the back of a police car. Bold move demanding I remove my review because you don't remember what you did to me. I wish I could give lower than a 1 star but negative isn't an option.

Super accommodating with our last minute stay due to a lengthy power outage. Less than 10 minutes from our house and the area is one we’re familiar with. The rooms were very clean and the front desk was welcoming. We booked here since it was one of the only hotels close that were pet friendly. I think we paid $75 per pet. Our dogs surprisingly loved the elevator and had plenty of outside areas to go to the bathroom. The breakfast the next morning had numerous options. We filled our plates and ate back in our room since the breakfast area was pretty crowded.

Close to the base. Probably less than a 5 minute drive and about a 15 minute walk (or longer depending on what time you walk). The staff I encountered were very polite. The free breakfast was great. Small omeletes with cheese, potatoes, and bacon or a similar offering of breakfast meat are offered every morning. There was also a waffle iron and the other typical offerings of fruit, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, and bread. An actual breakfast goes a long way over the prepackaged "grab and go" stuff you see at a lot of other places. There is also a pool, but unfortunately it was being renovated during my stay. The gym is open from 6am to midnight. Not a bad gym at all for the size: a treadmill, elliptical, bike, and bench with a selection of dumbells. There's also a shopping plaza immediately south of the hotel. A grocery store, restaurants, and other businesses are nearby.

Does not meet Hilton standards. Rooms are dirty and staff in the end not helpful.
