Good room and hotel. We did not use pool or gym. Breakfast was served in attached burger restaurant and it was bad. There was a good selection, but the quality was poor and the food was not fresh. Specially, the coffee was weak and limited, the pancakes were hard on the edges, the waffle batter was separated and seemed old and the fruit seemed like leftovers from days before. The scrambled eggs were decent.

I attended a conference at the Holiday Inn recently and have been in their event space previously as well. Compliments to the staff as they have always been friendly and attentive. The location of the hotel is close to I-64 and the busy Oyster Point area in Newport News. Easy access to the event space downstairs with a seperate entrance.

Holiday Inn has resurrected this entire property. It is clean and safe with excellent pillow top mattresses and great water pressure- the 2 things I love at a $150 per night hotel. Recommend. If you're visiting Hampton Roads And especially the peninsula, this is the perfect spot to rest your bones at night. Lol

Was there for a conference. While my colleagues stayed in other locations, I stayed at the host location. The walk downstairs to the conference center was comfortable and customer service was outstanding. When I had a problem getting into my room, the front desk assisted me and fixed any problems I had right away. When I asked questions, they made me feel comfortable and the head manager always spoke to me every time we crossed paths. Bathrooms were hard to get to and we're sort of small with a conference center right under the hotel but overall, I really cant complain, the price was worth my just getting away from my normal every day life and the points earned per dollar were fairly motivational to keep me coming back a little more often. Overall, I enjoyed the peace and quiet. My floor had a few young people but it didnt bother me because they stayed to themselves and enjoyed their stay as well.

This is Only repeat only about room the service at front desk was spot on Aplus nice. But the room OMGosh i need a whole sheet to write . Ok One I'm not sure but pretty sure room was only half cleaned abd not stocked, the bathroom was the old toilet paper like maybe 25/30 sheets so the old role on it and only 1 replacement and shower was not cleaned ... there was absolutely nothing on bathroom counter such as hand wash or even on the side wall like normal the sink was spotted with a brownish like makeup residue. We drove straight in from Florida today for our company so was too tired to complain.. but I was going to sit make a hot tea and there was no coffee pot in here we looked everywhere under sink drawers I was like ok no teas no coffee for hubby in am b4 takes the trailer to jobsite so nothing no coffee pot to make some hot tea to relax and chill and so the couch was turned sideways and it was covered with like paper droppings ... I'm just up now still 1240am just to write this I've never ever had in years of our IGH had this bad of room experience so opened the tall fridge and don't get me started I just take it maybe room got overlooked or maybe cleaning started but didn't start to finish. I cleaned it up as we bring drinks and creamer on our long trips and we'll again no coffee pot but it's just a bad experience with this room I'm still in awe !!!! Like I said the service was top notch they recognized us as platinum elite or what stage we have hit now over the years of traveling for our company but the room oh my .... here in a month we have a trip mid Florida for a much needed vacation I was going to use our IGH POINTS as we save and don't at check in take nothing but extra points so we have to use for vacations emergencies etc but I'm thinking maybe pay for our Vacation after this trip ... but then when we stay in Orange Lake it's fabulous or southern IGH but this first time just hit us hard as traveling and room was a mess and then each incident i probly left off some i am just sad sad sad but leaving in am to head south praying next IGH hotel is lovely friendly front desk as here and the room is stocked but most of all CLEAN and not a holy hott mess.
